Media Manipulation (Dance)

Artist Comments
Just a nice little piece of electro along the style of things im listening to at the moment. Sh*t Talked provided the vocals which i then vocoded to work with the rest of the track, the words are "Write it, read it, type it, screen it, hear it, say it, over play it, need it heed it, change the station, media manipulation"

H3lx has been making electronic music now for 5 years, with his first track “Hallucinogic” receiving airplay on Irelands national radio station 2FM. This gave him incentive to work as hard as he possibly could furthering his sound and production techniques. In late 2001, he remixed Umek - Gatex for personal use in his DJ sets, but after meeting Italian DJ Joy Kitikonti in February 2002 and giving him a demo of his work, Kitikonti went on to play this remix in many of his sets from Dublin to Columbia. Spurred on by this, H3lx sent Umek a copy of the remix and his feedback was extremely positive, he was very impressed with the very aggressive techno style he was producing around this time and gave him some great feedback which H3lx put to good use. In April 2002 H3lx did another remix, this time for Joy Kitikonti, of his track “Joydontstop”. Again, Kitikonti was extremely impressed with it and proceeded to play this remix in his sets constantly between March and November 2002, including plays in Dublin’s Temple Theatre and Gods Kitchen in the UK.
In September 2003 H3lx enrolled in a sound engineering and music technology course in a bid to further his production skills and techniques. A better understanding of music theory gained from this course saw a change in my production style, to a more electro/80s sound. In march 2004 he played my first live set in the Temple Bar Music Center to a packed house and received a rapturous reception following his set. H3lx as a sound engineer in June 2004, and is currently studying Advanced Music Technology in Dublin. He has since played 3 more live sets in Dublin, with 2 more on the cards before the end of May this year. In February of this year, he was contacted by Joy Kitikonti regarding doing another remix, this time licensed, of Joydontstop for the 2005 Remix package on Media Records, Italy. This remix was released on the 23rd of February and has received great reviews, becoming H3lx’s first release, reaching number 4 in the Tuneinn.com record sales chart. With another remix scheduled for release soon, this time of a track by fellow breakthrough act Eros De Funk featuring Nat Leonard called “Thats Creation”, the future is looking up for H3lx
