This is the second rock instrumental I've reviewed this month, the first one being "Hellucination" by Superhuman! Hellucination was technically brilliant, but was lacking in the mix (at the time of writing, I believe these issues have been addressed)!

Anyhoo... let's see how this one fares!

This starts out with some odd, almost pointless industrial clanks! After them, the music gets going immediately! I feel them few seconds at the start aren't needed, and the track would improve if it got going from the off!

Unlike the Superhuman track mentioned, this one trades speed for a more conventional song structure! While having less of a "song made up of a solo" feel, it is still technically brilliant, and the drum track, bass, and piano motifs back it up well! However, I do feel that it's a bit TOO slow and it tends to plod along! It might be just over 4 minutes long, but it feels longer! I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to make it a little faster, if only a little! I could go on how it could benefit from vocals, but most instrumentals are like that anyway!

Mixing-wise, it could be a tad more bassy for my tastes, but everything else sits well in the mix and has its own space!

Overall, while I couldn't listen to instrumental rock all the time, I would recommend it to anyone who is into it, altho speed-heads may not get much out of it!

Pizza Score: Deep Crust! Can take forever to eat, but is tasty all the same!
