Without You (reworked)
This track has lots of atmosphere. Great variations and nice piano work. Particularly liked the use of sub bass. Thumbs up !
This is impressive Malcolm! Your music creations always are. Nice work here again. Love the piano part. Great melody! Love the way this slowly builds. Really well arranged. Production value is stellar! Top notch! Thumbs. Roger
Very nice Malcolm... a plethora of piano and strings, and not sure which is which. So many layers of strings and pads and atmospherics, but I do love and appreciate the Electronica elements here. You use the "kick bass kick bass" formula to absolute perfection and it's sweet man. Sweet as can be, mellow and inviting, what a nice musical treat this song is. "Without You" is one of the best Electronic Instrumentals I've heard yet... well worth listening to, more than worth listening to. This one is a keeper. It's amazing what we can do sometimes when we leave an old song alone for a while, and then come back to it with fresh ideas, that can lead to some of the best music and this piece you've done here Malcolm, just shows your passion for music in its purest form. Brutally honest and calmly refreshing, this is perfection on many levels... you've got it right man, "got the groove, got he groove..." What an emotional ride, and so glad I took it too. I" can't believe how well you've followed every musical idea here to its very end and maximum potential. The craftsmanship of a well disciplined Master!!! Par Excellence! - DJ Frankie
Beautiful, delicate piano Mal :) The bass synth stabs are sweet as well. Very sweet progressive build and fall within the track :) String work is solid also. Nice combination of "movie" type sounds. Very easy going and pleasant on the ears :) Ess X
I loved your Anthem..will get over there in a bit...the piano over the synths in the intro...grabs and sticks...then the tempo starts to move and the track comes alive with energy...feeling it...immersive (my term :) soundscape...builds, regroups, surges..enjoyed the flow.!! Thumbs!
Superb from start to finish and love that panning teasing our ears! Viola works well around 4.20 followed by the answering violins. Had to be voices coming in to build this one to the epic stage. Brilliant....
Super track mate, really nice build into a subtle arrangement, very Robert Miles if you don't mind me saying, "Children" is one of my fav tracks of all time. Nice use of instruments and as always so professionally produced. Top track mate. Rated as always.
Well this is very beautiful, Malcolm...long for someone like me ( I am used to 4-5 mins tracks at most) but I didn't find it overlong at all...the progression, the variations and the delicacy of a supreme musical artist kept me riveted....violin makes a perfectly timed entrance to introduce the dramatic later stage and yep there are the fabulous vocals....made me think there was a story in your mind in the creation of this masterpiece. Well, I was blown away..truly!
Wonderful how this builds and builds... so very well put-together from the over all feel to the production. Much enjoyed! :)
Love this track, the piano sound in perfect balance with the track and I particularly like the synth panning. Production I excellent which is half the battle won. I love the violin at 4.14.... Reminds me of Ed Alleyne Johnson, one of yhe unsung musical icons of our time. Great work. Phil
Really exciting work, Malcolm! You had me captivated for 7 minutes. This is definitely one of the best things I have heard from you. Wow!
