Tracks do need to be downloadable, I mentioned not rateable simply because i would hate to see the rates get wasted... more than likely after the contest is over the page would come down eventually, so you would probably want to post the tracks on your on page as well at that point... nominateable? well I guess they could be, why not.. I agree with you MD, but I am speaking for the charts also, when week after week it's VIPS that seem to always be in the charts. At best you may get 3 maybe 4 non VIP tracks in the charts, this to keep it fair? I think the best way is to give everyone including non VIPS the choice to Nominate a track, I believe doing so will show a huge shake up in music. I have heard a lot of music by non VIPS that should have made the charts even at a 20 spot but they never seem to get a look in edge ways. A vast majority of non VIPS on this site are talented but it seems all VIPS make it to the charts purely based on their support of the site!! I understand your fair comments MD!! Personally I don't mind getting in the charts!! All I ask is fair feedback on my tracks, as a sort of learning thing!! But I mean, you must understand for non vips looking to make it big on the site but either cannot afford VIP membership or cannot gain it through whatever problem, it's not fair that X amount of NON VIP tracks are over looked for the paying members!! I mean are paying members better producers than non paying? It seems to be portrayed in such a manner!! Now Should I get removed from this site for my stance that is up to Stew!! But I mean, I believe in fairness!! and I don't think it is fair for only VIPS to nominate!! And I agree the charts are for fun but for a lot it means a lot to be in them, and it's not nice when it's all VIPS everyweek in both the official and user charts!!

i hear what your saying m8...maybe vip's are better @ promoting themselfs? not better producers....just maybe getting out of it what they put in? this weeks chart has 8 none vips...that means 12 vip's...i think that pretty fair m8...i think if you look over the last few weeks charts its been very close... one of the weeks it was 10 each.... this has been going on since i joined the site... yes there are weeks where there are full vip charts... that normaly means vip members have uploaded enough tracks to cover the 20 tracks.... got to remember there are only 20 places...100's of tracks uploaded a week...someone gonna miss out anyways...just carry on doing what your doing...comment on peoples music... alot will return the favour... not all but you ust got to keep doing it... you get to a point where you dont care if people return comments just carry on about your own buisness...if you making sh*t hot music chances are your gonna get in the chart if you have promoted it in the new mp3 section

That has actually been discussed i believe, the 1 nom for non-vip's but a small minority would abuse it and open several accounts just to use the noms... that's actually one of the reasons indirectly for this contest and it's prizes.... to add more VIP's to the site!
There are alot of non-vip's that i've personally listened to that defo deserve to be in the charts, and do get there.... as RIcky says there is generally more activity from VIP's than non-VIP's on the forums which is where exposure comes from. On another note, I'm glad to see you put the song back in the contest Mek! It's shaping up to be a good competitive contest and will be difficult to judge for sure! I can assure everyone this, the judging of this contest will be completely unbiased and based on 4 things... 1) creativity 2) arrangement 3) performance 4) lyrical content if applicable... production quality is taken into consideration but not factored in the judging, that way people who don't have high-end gear have a chance as well! I wanted this to be about song writing... how well is it arranged... how creative is it... how well is it performed and for vocalists, how well is it written and sung.... that simple! Thank you so much Mark for giving a PC and mic based home studio artist like myself a chance to enter a competition like this. For me production is important, but I don't have enough experience yet to make it sound professional. At least through this other non-VIPs an myself are getting some exposure outside of our little band pages.
