To mark the release of our new album 'Thanking Angels', Serenity are holding a remix competition.
I have made our track 'I Can See the Sun' into a remix sample pack which can be downloaded from either of the links below.
Rules:
- To participate, register your interest on this thread. We will make sure everyone who is interested has their remix in before we start judging.
- The best 3 remixers will win a copy of the new Thanking Angels CD.
- NEWS: Due to the excellent response, the top remixer will now also win a years subscription to Computer Music Magazine!!
Many thanks to MP3Unsigned for this generous contribution.
- Judging will happen in the week following the closing of the competition.
- Use any or all of the parts from the sample packs.
- There are no specific things we will be judging on, your track will be judged on its overall merits. Make it your own.
- Its in C and at 140bpm
- NEWS: Stew has kindly given us a page to host our remixes. When your remix is ready, please pm me for upload instructions.
- Your remix should be uploaded onto the remix page by Monday 14th November. This date is not set in stone, it is just a guideline. More time will be allowed if neccessary.

That's interesting... I'm not declaring myself... just showing interest at this point.
Sounds like a fine song. Is the example track somewhat like your final version ?
A note to potential entrants: I've been trying some remixing lately, and I find I've been learning LOADS about music and techie tricks along the way.
Nothing lost, even if the result turns out horrid. ...well, you might have to make some apologies to Jez and Rainy.

Cheers Val! You should have a crack mate! We haven't got enough female producers on here and I reckon you would make a cool take of it! Certainly different to what we have which would be cool! So I am personally inviting you to give it a go. So ladies you need to step up too!
Jez is ok with just giving out CDs to the winners but I reckon we could sort something better out for the best of the best!
No apologies needed, just have a crack!

Hey well done guys!
I tell you what the overall winner can have a VIP account paid for by me, how's that? So those who haven't got one (why not?), win this and get one for free for a year! Those of us who are already really important, have some more slots! Always useful eh?
Good luck people! Again, make the track your own! Impress me!
