Hello everyone. I would like to introduce to you a piece of music which was originally first recorded around 2000. It was written by our mutual friend Simon Ormerod, and subsequently recorded by Billy Fogg, who also added a few parts of his own here and there.

The song remained untouched for years, as Billy Fogg and I met in 2001, then began to collaborate musically until eventually forming Dark Dreams in 2004. This name was derived from one of Billy's old tunes.

Until very recently I had never realised that it would be possible to edit and remix some of Billy's old music, as it had been recorded using a simple computer programme downloaded free off the internet. As it happened, Billy had kept the original guitar tracks on his PC, and I was able to edit them myself using 'Cool Edit Pro' on an old laptop my sister had given me in 2006.

The song in question is Saffron, its an Instrumental Metal tune with both light and heavy passages. However in order to appreciate the difference, I humbly request that you would listen to the Original version first, and then the remixed version afterwards.

If you would like to leave a comment, then please do so in the remixed Saffron comments box, as the original version will only be featured temporarily until another song is ready for launch. As always I will take time to visit the pages of those who have listened and commented on our music. Although Billy is very busy with family commitments, I will endeavour to see if he can also respond in kind to any comments made.

My thanks -Peter Quinn.

Thought I was gonna hate this, but to be fair it's so well mixed and so crisp I found myself getting swept along for the ride. It seemed to go all radiohead near the end and quite pro rock but that just made me like it even more, fair dues, cracking stuff :) Rated :)

Good work by Billy and rated dude. My 1st in a while on link b-low. Let me know if you're still interested in the remastering of the older songs. It's been so long now i bet you've had someone else do it and if you have I can't blame you.

Stopped by, a little too repetitive in the beginning but than it evens out so it's not really a problem, Good production, rated.
