I've just been away for 4 days. My wife (Jaci) and I decided since it was our 25th wedding anniversary today (12th march) we would ditch the family and shoot down to Byron Bay for a long weekend.

 

To anyone who doesnt know bryon its a small but very famous laid back surf town in Northern New South Wales about an hour and a half drive south of where we live. As much as its become a bit too yuppieish its still got great charm and fantastic beaches no highrise buidings and an amazing nightlife, Lots of great eating places (they dont allow McDonalds or any of that fast food stuff in the town). A great deal of over indulgment was had in both food, alcahol and lovin. We rented a little beach house on the southern part of Byron (Tallow beach) and it was hell having to walk across the road to miles and miles of secluded beach and surf. Took my accoustic down and played guitar (and started writing a realy nice guitar track) whilst drinking freezing cold beer, it was all too perfect.

 

So after that Im fighting fit and feel so laid back i think I'll find it hard to get back into work mode tommorow. But i suppose reality will kick in when its time.

 

Anyway just thought id fill yas in on my long weekend.

Yes Mel I was doing it tough having to actualy walk across the road to the beach, but to be fair to me i also had to walk across the sand dunes as well so it wasnt all easy

 

And i think i must have gained so much weight with all the eating and drinking. Im beggining to look like the fat Elvis, so ill have to do more than a bit excercise to make up for it.

 

25 years, still cant believe Jaci has put up with me for so long, she is some woman for being able to do that.
