Why are there not different forums for each of the musical genre, surely most people have a preference towards one particular type of music.Whilst acknowledging any comments received are always welcome,  they are appreciated more if they are from  a muso with the same  musical tastes. Any other views on this. Teezer

been discussed many many times, and all it would serve to do is further separate musicians from one another, based on artificial boundaries.

Music is music, and if I had my way, genres would be outlawed, punishable by a good old fashioned hour in the stocks.

Yeah, besides,I'm country, and I fear I'd be the only ACTIVE one in that forum and I would just have to end up talking to myself(which I do anyway)

I'd sneak in the country every once in a while Laurel!

Although I am no expert...

I can do a little of everything but not a lot of one thing...(duh)

I do enjoy listening to all styles of music and commenting on what I have heard--again I may not be an expert on production an all but I am learning. (learn as I go and go as I learn and learn as I listen!)  I personally get confused trying to put some of my songs into a specific genre. Well...another day of school.

Surely, if its been discussed "many many times" then there is obviously a need for it! Teezer

I personally take influences from all genre's so i wouldn't want to see seperate forums, it seems to segregate artists, as a whole, and after all music is music, and i'm sure people will comment on your track if they like it despite thier prerfered genre.

i listen to any kinds of music, spliting it up would make it harder to find favour artists. its just fine in the one forum and deffo not needed. there are sub genres along the top if i wanna choice a style i wanna play.
