Has Audacity caused peoples comps to crash aswel?

Is there anyother recording programme I can dowload for free which which won't give me viruses or whatever to crash my comp?

Well, I don't use Audacity as a main recording program, but I've used it quite a bit for quick stuff since it's small and loads quickly. I've never had it crash on me.

I use Audacity alot and never ever had any kind of problem with it.However if you've downloaded a virus of some sort it may cause Audacity or any other program to crash.Curious of what processor,ram,and operating system your running.Also,are you running an antivirus program,such as AVG or something similar?
