Really enjoyed this track. Nicely produced, lends itself nicely to Blues :) .
Very nice track, great lyrics, has real emotional depth and very well sung, recorded and written. Very strong arrangement. I love the production, very crisp, clean. I also like the title of the tracks, it shows a great amount of thought coupled with the lyrics. This is what real talent is all about. I hope you continue to make great music so that one day we could hear it on the radio.
Had fun jammin along with this one! Great Blues!
Very bluesy and jazzy. Excellent piece. Vocal is -not- too loud in the mix in my humble opinion
Better late than ever...:-). Added to my list of your gracious dl's. R....DM
Cool tune Dawn, nice n laid back vocals and beat.I enjoyed this alot, good job
Nice one Dawn.Your a writt'in machine,lol!Cant go wrong with Amy's beautiful vox and Juri's additions.Great Tune!!
Well it has all been said below, nothing I can add really exept I echo all the words below, oh an enjoyed very much!! All buttons pushed and deserved.
Very well written indeed. The music is exceptional to along with those soulful vocals. Very tastefully done. WOW ! Not sure it would be classed in the blues genre but most certainly has blues under tones. Grea music ! Rated High. Peace, Doc
Lovely bluesy vocals - very sultry. We liked this a lot. Rated.
Wow! I really Like this,Ooh Yeah. Everything about it, Lyrics are top, and vocal performance just shines. I think the vocals fit well up front.
Hmmmm lovely voice. A bit loud in the mix, only because thay tend to drown the great backing music. Quite raunchy but delivered with class. Lyrics and songwriting is top notch as per usual :)
Just peeking my head in as it's been a couple of weeks since I've been here. Sorry I missed this one earlier. Very sexy vibe! Enjoyed the listen & best wishes with this one! :)
Hey Dawn. A very melodramatic yet powerful track that reminded me slightly of Nina Simone's 'Feeling Good' crossed with Kate Bush's 'Cloudbusting.' The lyrics are excellent and are complemented well with the music. Amy's voice is superb. Excellent.
Another cracker of a collab. I think the intro is especially good too with the kind of 'disonant' guitar. As for Amy's vocals......wow.
Yeah Fantastic song! Great, great tune, superbly executed and performed! Music and lyrics excellent too. Amys vocals are amazing too. This track has quality written all over it! A joy to my ears!:))) Mark
nicely done you three - amy is soundin quite nice on this - good lyrics:)
Class is the word on all counts here Dawn...Amy's vox are very good.Could imagine this on a West end stage in something like "Chigago" or something similar. It would not be out of place there(imo)Production top quality.Lyrics well on the money gal!Easily rated and a nom from me too! Andy :)
Amy sounds like she's right in her stride on this track. Kind of Allanah Miles tone in her voice here. Very good lyrics and melody and the music for the most part fits just right but I'm not too keen on the keyboard intro, sounds more prog rock than blues. Nice guitar sound on the solos. Rated. Craig
Nice sound, a bit typical of this genre but done really really well. Nice structure, sweet vocals as said below and subtle use of sounds is great. Lyrics are a stand out point and the melody is great :) Very nice collab, well done Dave
yeh this has got some nice blue's going on, really nice keys and sweet vocals. good one :)
Yeah this really flows at all levels. I think I've said before that i sometimes feel that lyrics can sometimes feel like they are made to fit into a song - like trying to force a size 10 into a size 8, this is certainly not the case for me on this one. A great cohesion, a terrific arrangement and supberb vocals and writings make this a real all-round winner at all levels. Exceptional collaboration.
Dawn, this is a song that you can really listen too. It's well spaced out and flows very well. Love the sound that Juri's getting from his guitar there. Great lyrics and vocal performance from Amy - class stuff.
This is really class... love the chorus lyric especially and it is probably Amy's best performance to date in my book. Was picturing this being belted out in a smoky blues bar (where they still exist ;-). If I had to crit (which I don't really as it's fab!) then I would say the backing sounds a bit muffly in places (the cymbals and snare mainly) but that could be me ears as I was out late last night ;-) Great stuff!
PS - just had another listen and the construction of the intro is fine stuff indeed.
Another beaut Dawn... on all fronts. Rated. Gosh there's a few blues songs around at the moment!
Superb collab, would like to here more from the three of you in this vein, seems to suit everyone's style perfectly and the sound is quite hot at the moment (not that I don't love your more ballady offerings though lol) Another fantastic Amy vocal as well to boot, great stuff :)
Really cool little track is this....blues in abundance , thru the music, the vox, which is brill, and the lyrics. Best ive heard from Amy in my opinion...suits the blues. And we dont have to ramble on about how good Juri is....he just sits on his own perch there!. Short lyric Dawn, but quite effective in producing a mood, just as blues should be. rated.
Listened to it twice and each time was great.Good job to all involved rated
Such pure clear vocals. The voice certainly suits the style. True blues. Great arrangment and the vocals in no way overpower the backing, mix is right. Great work to all. Deborah
AHA! Now THAT's a mighty fine song! Music is great, very Elton-John-ish, Amy sings superbly, lyrics are soooooo blues. YES!
Nice, kinda reminds me of "puttin on the ritz" (if that's even what it's called lol) everythings fine so that's all I can say, rated.
Hear Heart in this song! Vocal is spot on. George Harrison type break ...really nice! Great work as usual gang! Super voice Amy! R8!
Amy and Juri are cookin' on this, aren't they? Excellent arrangement, I really dig that piano crashing those chords out, the lead work is tastefully laid in, complimenting not overshadowing an incredible vocal performance. Smart lyric, well suited for this kind of blues rock. Well done all!
Whoa, what a voice!! Great track, it has oomph (if you know what I mean). Graham
I am most fortunate to have had a chance to work with some of the most talented musicians on the internet, in many different genres, ranging from pop/rock to light opera. Some of my collaborators include: Juri Rosenfeld, Dawn Diamond, Erik Rosenfeld, Amy Caldwell, Mark Ellis, Boyana Bjoern, Ron Gletherow, Scott Slater, Svenni Bjorgvins, Tom Van Mele (tumc), Wesley De Page, Mark Holley, Mark Alexander, AndyF, Rob Smith, Tony DeLecce, Jim DeLecce, Mykyndred (Mike Round), Deggsy, His Master's Choice (Peo), Mike Azzopardi, Graeme Cammack, Elina Rosenfeld, Allan Bell (Geiger167), David Joel Carter, Craig (Pidgeman) Matthews, Vincent Fidele (Riddle), Dan Michaelson, Tony Miller, Deon Ashton, MoonTurnedBlue(Phil), Guilherme Shroter, Dave Lunbeck, James Clark, Dave (Mezzer) Meredith, KtA, Christy, Terry Wigmore.James Oakwood, Joseph Rodriguez and in production department: James Oakwood, Sal Salvedore and Miush Skirman....and many more instrumentalists and vocalists all of whom have my utmost respect and gratitude. The list keeps growing and if your name's not here and we have collaborated, give me a prod...it's tough keeping up!!
Juri Rosenfeld and I have written many songs together in many genres and with others (most frequently with Dawn Diamond, Amy Caldwell and Erik Rosenfeld) we now have 4 CDs for sale, the latest of which is Coming Home.
Mark Ellis and I have collaborated on over 30 songs together, mostly in the folk/pop genre.
Boyana Bjoern and I have a collection of modern songs that are professionally produced. One of those...Only 17 won the Bubblegum Pop contest in January/February 2016.
And me? I am just happy to go along for the ride. As a lifetime writer, as author, poet and lyricist, writing is in my blood so if you ever need a lyric, let me know.
After months of waiting, our first professionally produced album, entitled Two Dawns One Day is out and I for one am thrilled with the quality of not only the final mix/mastering etc but of the art work and packaging too. There are 15 tracks which include 13 with lyrics by yours truly, 1 lyric is Juri/Dawn Diamond collab and 1 track is instrumental. Martin Gallagher features on the title song and all the other vocals are Dawn's. Only 1 track was not composed or written by Juri and that is the 2 Dawns collaboration of I'll Love You More. Other musicians were involved in the making of this album and the support of family and friends has been tremendous but had it not been for the vision and determination of Juri Rosenfeld, the album would never have materialise ...bless you Juri for I have never been more proud.
As the opening vocals hit my ears I'm struck by the 'Britishness' of the sound. It conveys to me shades of a Ray Davis (The Kinks) composition wise, which immediately warms me to to it. The intro is nicely out of kilter and misleads the listener as to it's true intent. As Amy's vocals ride in you are carried off on a wonderful musical sonjourn. A small crit on my behalf (opinion
I have long been a fan of songwriter Carole Douglas (Bolton Songbank on Soundclick), a very polished and professional composer. There is nothing I like better than a great song, and given that there are millions of musicians around us, there are very few songwriters. Finding the two Dawns (Sinclair and Diamond) on MP3 Unsigned has been a big pleasure and I look forward to their new col
I was only thinking to myself the other day that I had reviewed loads of Dawn Sinclair tracks but always by other people, which is not really the same thing at all. As you can gather, Dawn is a lyricist/songwriter whose tracks do have a certain something about them, all least the collabs I have come across anyway. We are talking about LOTS of those here. Dawn has worked with Dawn
First off, I have got to make it clear that I think this is an absolutely awesome piece of music, despite the few very minor faults I shall be noting below. The girls have genuinely done themselves very proud on this one and I found this track to be thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. Any's voice is delightful and the harmonies are simple ear candy. Anyway, down to the nit
Dawn Sinclair will be a very familiar name to most regular users of Mp3Unsigned. Dawn is a lyricist who has worked with a great many artists on the site, myself included, and in very many different genre's of music. The 'Team', as Dawn likes to call it, on this track consists of Amy Caldwell, Dawn Diamond on guitar and of course Dawn Sinclair providing the lyrics. The mix on this version has
Well, this one is the best of the best from our two talented Dawn's. The lyric is heartfelt and poignant, as Dawn Sinclair knows only too well how to do. The melody, performance and simple arrangement by Dawn Diamond is exquisite. This one was a joy to the ears.
Thanks gals!
My commnet section says it all. Real nice work.
2Dawns1Day By Dawn Sinclair featuring Martin Gallagher. What was it about The Beatles? Why do songs that are merely influenced by them still sound so powerful, so emotive? I have no idea. You must have an opinion of sorts, assuming you even like the band, that is. This is definitely one of those powerfully emotive songs, with a strong sense of that classic sound running deep within. Rig
Dawn Sinclair, where to start with her! Dawn is a different kettle of fish to the majority of artists on the site, as she is a lyricist. She does not perform on any of her tracks, so as you can see different to most people here. But ever since she has arrived she has shown what a prolific song writer and collaborator she is. Gathering around herself a group of 5 or 6 musicians a
Dawn Sinclair - Teach Me like A Child Latin music. My only experience of latin music made by someone who isn't actually latin is limited. The late Kirsty MacColl and, err... That's it, I guess. The best way I can safely describe this track, overall, is shiny. Shiny, happy, fresh, uplifting and gleaming like polished silver. I can really sit back and relax when music like this is on the radio
Wow! Teach Me Like a Child is a joy to listen to. Dawn Sinclair clearly has a gift for the written word and it is exploited beautifully in this song. The lyrics should speak to anyone who has lost the innocence and wonderment of viewing the world as a child does where their thoughts roam wild and free. It's a great reminder for any of us who have be
Alessandra is a track by Juri Rosseneld accompanied by Chris Maxwell featuring the vocals written by Dawn Sinclair. First off, i am rating with a 7 equaling an average radio quality track by a professional. The first thing that cathces my ear on this track is the musicmanship. It is very strong. timing is spot on, vocals are delivered brilliantly. Chris Maxwell is an extre
I WISH THERE WAS A CD AVALIABLE OF THIS GIRLS WORK, RATHER THAN A SITE. IT SEEMS VERY CLEAR TO ME THAT THIS SONG AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER TRACKS, HAVE A DEFINATIVE EDGE WHICH IS SUPERIOR TO SOME OF THE CURRENT MUSIC AVALIABLE. THE GREAT EMPHASIS ON FEEL, IS WELL NOTED IN MY BOOK. THE INSTRUMENTATION ALONE COULD HOLD INTEREST, AND WHOEVER MIXED THIS, KNOWS A THING OR TWO ABOUT PRODUCTION VALU
THIS TO ME, IS PURE ART, AND I LOVE IT.
