YOUNG EILY
FORTUNE 5 MUSIC
I consider my style of music a fresh new wave, surrounded by the influence of the hood and love ones. I am a Chicago native quietly looking to take song writing to the next level in Hip Hop, Rap and R&B music. I was born and raised on the south side of Chi-town projects (Chicago Housing Authority). As a child, I was continuously exposed to street hustling, shootouts, and raids by the police in CHA. I felt moving out of the projects to be the best thing that could have happen to my family and me. I was not the type of person who was into fighting and getting into trouble but my life on the streets was just beginning. Once on the streets it was a completely new world. The experience of hanging out with my friends all night, finding trouble, and block wars quickly made me have loyalty and respect for the streets which will keep you on your game and take you a long way. As I got older, I started heading more into the direction of music but was not fully dedicated to it. I just played around with free style here and there at parties. It was not until a friend of mind told me to stop playing around because I have what it takes for music. I thought about it for a while I then started playing around with 16’s. I always knew how to write bars and hooks. It was not until KO who is now with Low-N-East, came and laid down his fresh material in the studio that made me get serious and step my game up. I started grabbing instrumentals off the internet, getting the best talented Indies producers on sound click and working on a flow that sound like a new wave of music and willing to try new things. My swag and style of writing lyrics and off-the-wall hooks on my own started to develop into what I like to call Swag Music. I decided to take a different path in music, as Lupe would say, “dumb it down”. I’m learning Hip Hop and R&B writing style of music so that it can help me further my career and be completely versatile to get to the next level. I’ve showed people like Cutter from Y.I.C. a few new ideas. My cousin and I have been writing music and rapping what seems like forever. I’ve given pointers to both KO and Westside. I wrote the following songs: Baby Girl, Rock’in Man, They Loving My Flow, Now Wood U Juke It. I co-wrote the hook drinks with Westside of the Competition PT1 mix tape. I also wrote all of the hook’s on the Chi-Bionic mix tape, and co-wrote the hooks on the Competition
PT2 tape.
Background Summary: I have been grinding at producing music approximately eight years off and on. The last three years, I have been dedicated and more business orientated by networking with everyone I meet. I don’t write lyrics on paper, it all comes from the head. I work a full time job so I can pay for my studio time and whatever promotional material I need. I consider myself a recording artist, songwriter, and the CEO of Low-N-East Entertainment. I’m an extremely hard worker.
Influences: Artists such as Jay-Z inspired me because of his business sense. TI inspired me because of his song writing abilities. I’m inspired by Jadakiss of “D” Block because he is one of the hottest rapper in the game and although he is not big in the business, he is focused on his team and music. Dipset inspired me because they show power and movement. Lastly, my team inspired me because of their many talents.
Closing: I am a CAREER ARTIST. I do all of MY OWN WRITING from the hood. All I need is an opportunity and a fresh start with the right people and I know we can make something happen!
