Back for another listen fella.Quality track.Jupiter can't hide the shear size of this track.Tis huge.
Hearing elements in the vocals of Jeff Lynne from ELO in addition to your own style. Music actually has a unique flavor to it with David Gilmour-esque riffs laced in. Great recording, sounds huge. Voted!
Nice song! I enjoyed the vocal as it seemed to me like a cross between "Randy Newman" and "Joe ...er". The vocal stood out as a different and refreshing change from the usual run of the mill, generic, hear-it-everyday type of mainstay that painfully occupies today's popular fad following crowd. Keep churning out the tunes and continue letting the creative juices flow! Also thanks for giving me your thoughts on one of my songs! I truly apprecciate it!
Definitely Floyd meets Straits - a great song with real heart.
Dire Straits Feel all the way...and that is a compliment. Sounds great.
Very cool. Nice job. Wait for Stars
Felt like I was listening to a hidden track from 'The Dark Side of The Moon" buddy.. This is ACE! Loved your lyrics and vocals on this!
very epic sound and brilliant vocals. you wouldn't expect these dark lyrics from a song called "Miami". Interesting storytelling. All in all a very good track, I like it.
Pick of the Day 11th Sep 2010! Also, reviewed in Musicians Union flagship journal 'Musician' autumn edition! Wow!!
Agree this has a PF feel, which is always great. Your vox reminds me of Mark Knophler of Dire Straits... also great! Very nice job!
Missed this one up till now. Glad I came to it though, it's excellent. One of your best I'd say, and that's saying something. Rated. Craig
Very nice vocal delivery Tony :) Would go down so sweet at a festi ;P Get in contact darling...X
Had to come back for more listens...congrats on chart topper...it's every bit as good as I said last time but sorry, no more buttons to push...it wont let me go again :(
Loved it...really think you have a lovely tone to your voice , cool melody aswell ;)
Brilliant song writing throughout!! Performance is outstanding, in every detail!!! Cant say I can hear you've had a few, but thats how the pro's do it!! Awesome work Tony!!!Rated up!!! Barry
omg this is good Tony....different as feck....and compulsive....love it!! ABP
Nobody has said the singer sounds drunk ... I deliberately necked about 5 cans of lager to get that sound! Thanks folks
Very cool track, and as someone said earlier has a bit of a Floyd feel to it. Really good lyrics in there, and some good vocal work. I also fealt a bit of early Bruce around the 3 min mark, which is always good. Great stuff. ONAGER :o)
Wow, that's as sad as it gets, can't remember the last time I heard someone get so much outta bleak...whew! Felt that lady's pain right to the core, excellent songwriting Tony. Enjoyed the accompaniment, had a bit of a "Dark Side of the Moon" vibe to it that suited the sentimental message. Top notch performances, really like your vocals on this one sir. Highly recommended, most certainly rated. Well done!
Back for another listen, love the eq change on the vocal Tony after the Miami line.Nice bit of vision there.Rated.
Wow, your voice really stands out on this track, a sweet blend between a perfect pop song and a blues. Needless to say when it comes to your tracks, production is top quality, everything sounds clean and at the right level. I really like the drums here, they are a bit unexpected for the song, but work amazingly well, probably because of that. The fact that those are electronic somehow adds to the sense of alienation and despair expressed in the song. The piano arpeggios sound wonderful too; they are melodious and IMHO help soften the angst evoked by the lyrics. And I should say once again, love the way you play the guitar man, classy.
Another superbly produced song Tony mate.Everything just gels so sweet and flows nice'n easy.I think I would have put a bit of reverb on the big snare, but you obviously did'nt want that.Great songwriting fella. ABP
Amazing work, nice tempo and the drums are just enough alone to keep you listening. Great work indeed Tony! I like this track. Darren S.
What can I say that you have not heard, you know how I feel about your music, YOUR A GREAT SONGWRITER! Love it. Vin
The beats are different class - you are become a master producer Tony! This song is like a Blues Masterpiece! Your vocals are top notch as always and the guitar work is the cream on the top of a very delicious pie.
Love the story and the way you put out all you've got to get the point across. And it comes across very eloquently. rl
I really like the marriage of the geet and the piano. This is a great song Tony. Love the lyrics and the vocal delivery. A 10 out of 10 on the whale scale.... Dan
Tony more retro drums is that a 909 snare just love drum machine mixed with real instruments the reverb snare on the second beat was class just wish it was there more. The guitar slides for me were bliss a nod at Floyd or was it a nod at Miller!!! Don't think you can put out a bad tune if ya tried.Enjoy the warm vibe the track emmitted.Im with Storm on the vox.
Oh...this intro is so Floydish...then Lennon kicked in...really, really lovely song and melody..outstanding vocals. RRRRRRRRR
Very nice into..Not to keen on the backing choir but the piano and the guitar is up to your high standards...Lyrics and the standard of vocals are also up to your high standards... Effective, interesting and a real good listen... Cheers Tony...
I`ll get my minor moan out of the way first - The percs were varied and very well executed I just found them a little dry (personal taste) OK now thats out of the way I`ll go onto say its a classic Miller perfectly composed, performed and generally wonderful production. One of your best I think Tony and one I could easily come back too from time to time. ABP
Writer of songs about the human condition, in all its manifestations.
Tony is a well known live performer mainly in the Manchester (England) area. Over the years this experience has honed his performance skills and song writing abilities. His love of many forms of music is reflected in the wide range of genres he covers in his songs.
Tony is currently unsigned and has never had any of his songs published, although some of his earlier work appeared on local radio.
He remains forever hopeful...
Great feel, very early black keys. Very intriguing structure.
'Faithless' is ,at it's heart a rather bitter, nihilistic message, securely aligning itself firmly within the 'nowt out there but thin air, and whatever perceptions yer wanna take from that' camp. The conclusion (more a dejected sigh than an outro) is as pitiless it is short, speaking of wasted lives, futile clinging to the same 'faceless gods', and then death... without even a decent rewar
Come on everyone do I really need to convince you that this song is GREAT! Have a listen. Tony Miller, he is persistant. One great song one after the other. Why? someone please tell me why we are not getting this mainstream? My ears never lie and my heart is always true so with my tongue I say this to you I rated everything 10 and I'll do it again.
