Chat One's beats have been causing a stir in the UK for the past 4-5 years..Probably most recognised for producing the underground summer classic "Strange Fruit"..ft Jeye Severe & Kadesha Charles. Which hit the airwaves in 2004 when RAS KWAME showed faith & dropped the bomb ,at first,Radio 1 Xtra..& then on Radio 1..Which instantly captured audiences across the country & was playlisted for the next 8 months "Strange Fruit" was followed up by Jeye Severe's track "Song Of Solomon", also produced by the Peterborough legend, Chat One.The praise was coming from far & wide by the time Chat's 3rd production, "A Better Man" hit Radio 1..& the track was also simoltaneously mirrored on 1Xtra, with the refix "A Bitter Man"..which made 2004 & 2005 a busy year for Chat. In late 2004...Chat One went his own way, due to a breakdown with his management team..(which was like a blessing in disguise, although it didnt seem so at the time).."The arrangement was all wrong" explains Chat." Things were okay at first, but after a while I started noticing cracks in the foundations. While we were working on the "Overtones Scheme", set up by the London Arts Council, things got way out of control with regards to creative control over my music, my beats..so with that, I left the crew, & followed my own path" Chat One never looked back since, looking at the experience as "Fuel for his fire"..in 2005, the producer went on to release "DiverseCity"..A milestone in Cambridgeshire's musical hall of fame..Followed up in 2006 by ILL GramR's mixtape/Road album,"Chat with ILL GramR"..Also at the same time, J.Denzel's album, "Is what it is"...recieving much love & support for these projects, Has influenced the new release "THE FOOD CHAIN"..."This is gonna be my best project so far..it features collabo's from original team member, Jeye Severe..The Drifters, & Diamond Rough (terra firma)..to name afew you may have heard of..The compilation cd is to be released september/October 2007..& will be available in to buy @ H.M.V, Suspect Packages or from www.soundoffmusic.co.uk..also exclusive tracks from the album will be featured on SIDEWINDER'S new compilation c.d...
