Her songs demonstrate a variety of influences, showcasing the depth and flexibility of her abilities to include 11 tracks with a variety of styles including a twist of r & b, disco, church, and worship where she undoubtedly brings her signature energetic powerhouse vocals with an abundance of love and encouragement. She is known for her steely determination especially at one the most challenging times of her life. Sadly, her father passed away before the album was released but the strength she gained from trusting and holding onto God carried her through what was one of the most devastating times of her life. ‘I was overwhelmed with grief when my hero died, but God gave me enormous strength and courage to continue communicating this relentless message of hope.’ Born in Bristol, UK, of Jamaican parents, she spent most of her early years growing up in church in Derby singing the songs of Aretha Franklin through to Amy Grant. Songwriting came very naturally to her and at the age of 12 she was already performing songs at her local church. For more than a decade Sandra has been very active in the gospel music scene. Her background includes fronting 2 bands, several years of being guest vocalist at many leading UK festivals and conferences, session singer, as well as running vocal training days and teaching on creativity. Sandra’s passion as an award winning gospel artist and worship leader is contagious to anyone who meets her.
