This song came to me in a dream (literally), and speaks out against terrorism, war and racial profiling. In fact all forms of violence. The central character reflects on the aftermath of the London bombings, and how he could have been involved, had he not been "Late for the bus". No political stance is intended, only to say "It's all so sad.....in New York, London and Baghdad".

Having spent many years playing the London pub circuit, both solo and with several bands, I prefer to work as a studio singer/songwriter these days (although I still gig with my wife as part of "Maggie's Guitar"). I sometimes collaborate with lyricists, especially my dear friend Dawn Sinclair. One such recent collaboration with Dawn was "The Babes In The Wood" about the unsolved murders ot two nine year old girls in Brighton, UK, in 1986. The CD is now on sale in that region (all benefits going to childrens' charities) and has been endorsed by my friend and world renowned songwriter, Paul Williams.I play mostly guitar (which I also teach), but also keyboards, bass, mandolin and dobro. In other words, I play all instruments heard on my recordings. Another claim to fame was my British TV appearance on "Stars In Their Eyes", where I portrayed my boyhood hero, Jim Croce.

The CD of the song I co-wrote with Dawn Sinclair, "The Babes In The Wood" is now on sale at HMV in the Brighton, UK area.The song is dedicated to the memory of Nicola Fellows and Karen Hadaway, both aged nine, who were abducted and murdered in Brighton in 1986. All proceeds of the CD will go to childrens' charities.The song has been endorsed by world renowned, oscar winning songwriter, Paul Williams ("Evergreen", "We've Only Just Begun", "Rainy Days and Mondays", "Bugsy Malone"), who writes:- "Every act of kindness is a little bit of love we leave behind. I hope Ron and Dawn's song touches someone enough to jog a memory and provide the information that will end this mystery. The tragedy remains. We can only fight to keep our own children safe, and to lovingly remember Nicola and Karen once ran joyfully together.....just "Babes in the wood"."
