Well, this was a nice surprise, having never listened to MD-1 before, I am pleased to say you know have a new fan. I have chosen to do a review of Use Your Noodle.
This is an interesting track and subject matter, considering the fact
that I am Canadian and we would not go to war against Iraq, but England
did, so I find this somewhat pushing the envelope, which in my opinion
is always good, .
I have listened to this song now a bunch of times, and I can't find
anything I don't like, the construction is brilliant, the way it
changes from the voice section into the guitar funk piece after that is
flawless, very nice sublte bouncing reverb on the voice. and then the
entire song changes feel into the guitar part, nice drums, great
programming, the production is very very clean, no clipping, no
indescrepancies, and I love how the reverb isn't always on the voice,
great attention to detail, when the music is busy, the verb is gone,
nice subtle touch.
I think, maybe, and just maybe, the drums towards the end are just a
tad too dry, after the last voice piece, in that little bridge before
it picks up again. But aside from that this is definitely one of the
best tracks I have heard on this site in quite some time. I highly
recommend anyone who is a digital music fan, or funk fank, anything
actually, definitely will be wanting to check this out.
Nice work Mr. Mancini.
