I'm glad to grab the oppurtunity to review AtomTha Immortal as I think he his a very talented geezer.  He comes across to be a very educated man, knowledgable with what seems to be alot of respect.
I think that this mix is stunning as far as hip hop goes.  The whole track is produced to perfection.  Every last little detail can be heard and that is down to the quality alone of Atoms production skills.  The beat is real nice and is complimented when listened to through headphones because of the panning of certain hits.  Its a mysterious sound to the percssion..they sound dark and frantic which also is complimented by the extremley eerie lead melody.  It sounds quite futuristic and as peviousley said..sounds eerie, ,the whole track sounds demented but that meant to be taken in the best possible way..basically meaning I can't believe how cool the eerieness sounds.  There is a real nice flute type instrument that introduces the track panning in the right speaker..that sound adds some emphasis on the scary feel to the track and is placed in what seems to be quality places.  The bass line is quite simple but sounds really effectice, this too is placed and taken out in parts to add to the structure of the track and does'nt sound too repetitive..it also pounds out the speakers like an explosion with the frequenct turned down to a minimum.  The vocals are one of the things that impressed me mostly though.  I do think that Atom is the best rapper on the site and thats no disrespect to any other rapper cause' there are some great talents out there, but Atom really kills it everytime.  The man is crystal clear and gets every word out with ease, he has an effective flow that sounds brutal everytime.  The eq'ing and production on the vocals cant be praised up enough and is a nice touch putting in the stress verse but would have been nice to read the lyrics too, quality to introduce an alter-ego. The lyrics seem like they have been written with extreme thought.  It is very cleverly writ and there are references in there that really are unique to the artist..and what I mean by that is that only Atom could come out with such intricate scripture and blend it together to produce a work of art..  "We strike the modern man like Gregor Mendel, meddling with his alleles/ Wounds of Darwinian Theory will never heal" - quite ingeniuos really, you cant belive how amazed I was when I heard that for the first time and " follow a path through Euclidean spacetime/ Mythological allusion inserted in every line/ Telekinetically crack a lion's spine/ Freeing the blind from mind control on mankind's soul" is also something special.  Sometimes the corellation of words in some hip hop tracks tends to take a tangent along the line and explain a situation by taking the longest route possible, ,they to me are very interesting tracks and this is no different.  You tell your point in a very clever way and that is definatley something that keeps me listening and to be honest there are very few people in hip hop who can tell a good story..I can be quite set in my ways.
Once again i'll say that this has been a cool track to review..there are some folk who would'nt listen because of the genre so to get a commercial hook in hip hop can either be the easiest thing to achieve or the hardest.  You have achieved a fantstic hook but also sounds very underground, thats why I gave an eight in that section.
I'm getting my finances sorted and then gonna purchase the album.."Day The World Changed" (www.AtomThaImmortal.com)...which is looking to be a very promising purchase downt ot the sheer quality in the samples when on his website, hope every track is as good as "Achilles" cause' you will be on to a right winner my man, peace.
