My review on "The Piscean Dream" is a combined effort based on Michael Barnes Video and Music composition.
After my watching and listening to Michaels video I felt that a production such as this should not go unnoticed.
REVIEW:
Escaping Reality, The Piscean Dream”
From the start of the video, “The Piscean Dream”, the ghostly image of a figure walking in the distant combined with the sound of a eerie piano sets the stage for what I felt was a very thought out production. Michael’s video not only explored the mind of emotions but gave a creative story of a individual trying to escape reality. The overall atmosphere seemed somewhat hypnotic with a touch of anticipation. The dream like sequences based on numerous photographic places and times gave a realistic overall view as if one were living in a dream. The zodiac sign, “Piscean” enhances the character of the individual who in this case is Michael himself. Using a zodiac sign gave a distinctiveness trait to who Michael is. By just watching the video, it is quite apparent that Michael has had some area of training and experience in this field. The sequencing, blending and editing of film appeared in my books as “pro” like material. I was impressed with his creative arrangements using black and white contrast editing technique which kept me interested throughout the entire video. It is unique how Michael was able to incorporate his song giving the overall production a dramatic sensation. This is a talent in itself.
Based on Michael’s talent, I would say that it was a remarkable effort and talent which I found could prove to have a commercial appeal.
I think this young man is a remarkable artist having many talents musically and technically.
It’s been a pleasure to watch and listen to this video and I wish Michael all the success in the future.
