For those who don't know me I'm an avid listener of new music and half of the duo Serenity here on mp3unsigned.
When Mary offered her track up for review this month, I felt honoured. Having listened to many of Mary's songs and being a fan of her soft voice I was pleased to help.
"My Inspiration" chosen for me by the artist.
This track starts with a very smooth instrumentation for Mary's soft voice shortly follows. I was then taken on a musical journey which was a pleasure to be apart of.
To me the lyrics/vocals make the song and the music just makes it even better. This certainly held true with this song. Heartfelt lyrics which were easy to relate too. A very sweet song which was written with love and thoughtfulness. Which was excellent to watch unfold. The lyrics I believe were written by a lady called Gina Simone, who I hope we hear more from. Very sweet song which I could see given the write marketing selling alot of records.
The instrumentation provided by Eric Cougnit for this track was also impressive. Gentle guitar which definitely struck a chord within me. I love the guitar solo with soft vocals gently coming across! Sweet beats and great melody, with classic lyrics and a great foundation of a track with instrumentation like this what more do you need?...
Last but certainly not least. Mary has a great voice which I can listen too for hours without even thinking too much about the time. The vocal delivery on this track is superb. Really bringing to life the song, I'm sure you made Gina proud Mary. You certainly would me if they were my lyrics. Great song and very well sung!
Drawing on what I have already said. This is a class production by Mary. Having also listened to other tracks by Mary Gottschalk her production skills are improving constantly and I have to say that I am impressed. Mary you keep this up with your voice, and solid production skills you already are the whole package. You might want to work on the ending of the track. Ends a bit too prematurely for me and I would of liked to seen an ending rather than a fade out. That said, you still have an awesome track here and I am honoured to have been asked to review it.
I also want to thank Mary as an artist for her constant contribution to the threads and fellow artists. I know your opinion has been greatly appreciated on my tracks as I'm sure it has on others. I know we all do it, I just wanted to say thanks for your constant honest opinion and making us laugh.
For anyone who hasn't listened to My Inspiration, please do as this pop track which has a tiny side topping of country oozes commercial appeal and your be glad you listened.
