‘Come Rest Your Head’ – a few wordies from Spyda
If this song doesn’t prove to everyone who hears it that MP3Unsigned has got a future star in it’s midst then there’s absolutely no hope for anyone!!!
John of The Foreboding has produced what I consider to be his best song ever with ‘Come Rest Your Head’. A song that seems to me to be about a mans emotions & the deep feelings of love he holds for a person he seems unable to share his true feelings with right now.
How many of us have experienced the closeness of someone that we daren’t pour our hearts out too for fear of rejection? Or worse still, be in a relationship where each partner has walled up their heart unable to express themselves anymore, or release the love inside blocking out all emotion because of some past action, or secret hurt known only to them.
How many of us “skirt around the rocks in our path”, not knowing what to say, or do to let the ones we love know how we really feel about them?
John has such an amazing talent for writing, playing & producing songs that stir the emotions on every level. His melancholy vocals, the gentle strumming guitars & such sad lilting strings of ‘Come Rest Your Head’ must surely be able to melt the stone walls of any heart. (I’m sure that listening to this over the past few days I’ve heard my own heart cry more than once).
Yes, okay I maybe a sentimental old fool, but if you’ve ever loved someone from afar, or maybe loved & lost someone, then you surely know where I’m coming from.
It’s not possible for me to write anything critical or negative about this song as I can’t find a single fault in it. I seriously adore it & it’s gonna remain in my all time favourites folder for a very long time. I suggest you add it to yours too.
One thing more I’d like to say about ‘Come Rest Your Head’ & The Foreboding is, please someone, somewhere out there, take this song, take this man & make them BIG! The song deserves it, the man deserves it & we, his audience & friends at MP3Unsigned deserve to witness it!
