It's took me a while, but I'm on my second review of my current batch, and this one is by GravitySlip, who works in my most familiar genre!

The first thing I hear is a jazzy drumloop, and it's this drumloop that the biggest problem for me! I do like the sound of it, due to production being of the highest quality, but it's more that it sounds rather pedestrian! I personally feel that the drums should be constantly changing and evolving... maybe not in a crazy, Venetian Snares style cos that would be overkill for this type of track, but that drumloop does need some more life in it!

To be fair, some half-time drums do appear alongside it later on, and then it switches to a straight four-to-the-floor pattern which does a better job of driving the track along, despite the kick being a bit muffled! I also like the synthwork on display, which does a decent job of keeping interest and not feeling too cluttered despite there being a lot of it! Nothing particularly memorable here, but not everything needs a hook!

I do like this track, but I gotta admit that it's left me unimpressed! I remember reviewing a track on here a while back which started well but messed up during the second half... this track seemed to do the same but in reverse, having an dull, pedestrian start, but showed improvement later on! While I won't be calling this a "wasted opportunity" like I did with that previous track, I'll end by saying this track could do better for me!

Pizza Score: Add-Your-Own-Toppings Pizza! Rather boring to start with, but can be easily improved!
