The first in a new batch of reviews from me is for Costas Stergiou, a modern composer who has been on the forums since 2006, but has gone unnoticed by me until recently, probably due to him not being around much!
Still... better late than never!
This one is called "The Celebration"! Why it's called that hasn't been clarified, but I guess a title is only a title... make of it what you will! Either way, this is a mainly piano-based piece in a similar style to fellow MP3U member Dan Michaelson, whose music I have a bit of a soft spot for! Some extra orchestral instrumentation comes in at around the halfway mark, and while it drowns out the piano occasionally, the extra sounds are welcome and it builds into a nice cresendo!
It's hard to say how I would go about improving this! The length feels right for the piece, but it could be expanded upon aswell depending on what direction Costas takes it! On the technical side, apart from the odd drowning out of the piano, the production is pretty much there! I could say some percussion instruments such as timpani, etc. would add some extra dimension to it, but the track might not need it!
Overall, a nice classical piece that should please those who have at least a passing interest in the genre!
Pizza Score: The Works! Hard to improve on it without having a potential balls-up! It all depends on preferences!
