Almost as soon as pressing the play button to this track, i was up dancing, straight into that awful 80's dancing most of us remember doing lol.

'Dance back to the 80's' does remind me very much of those days at the disco in the mid eighties, where you would stand swaying along to George Micheal's 'Careless whisper' [with your deely boppers on] and then the DJ would stick a song like this on the turntable and the whole room would wake up and start jumping around.

This last few days, Dance back to the 80's was put into a playlist in my ipod amongst 80's dance artists to see how the music competed, and actually i felt it did quite well amongst artists like Guru Josh, bananarama ect, but this track does have a few issues, but even so, after a few tweaks, and maybe a remix, it could evolve into something a lot bigger.

Production wise, there seemed to be some minor flaws. I noticed some timing issues [some sounded like it was played live] the odd note wasn't in time, and the melody line [although was a good solid melody] lacked any effects, making it too harsh a sound and then became a little too repetetive. I also think this could of been because of the way the lead line was brought into the track too early, but on the other hand craig did manage to keep the intrest going by changing direction from the lead line at times.

I found the sound quality of this track top notch, but commercially i have to be honest and say 'not as is'. The 80's vibes are very back in fashion at the moment, not just in clothing but old skool music is coming back in remixes from that era so you may be onto 'something'.

This track could use improvements, i personally would give it a longer intro, before putting the main melody line in. Add a 'little' reverb so you can barely hear it, onto the synth you used for the main lead line to take that scratchyness away and maybe add either another sound of intrest or a vocal clip, just to keep the track becoming a little bland in places.

Overall 'Dance back to the 80's is a very cheeky little track which had me dancing and humming too, the kick line [my favourite part] had me bopping away and i very much enjoyed the listens.

I would honestly say to you that you are almost there. Keep at it, persevere with the sounds and keep experimenting, because through that you learn so much.
