One thing that can hook me in to one of Chris' songs is his unique penchant for choosing titles for them. This one definitely is title of the year.
Chris has never opted for the easy 4 to the floor option which makes him, certainly in my book, an artist that should be listened to. You can guarantee that whatever song you pick from the Tedd-Z colection you will not be disappointed
Ok the song. I listened a couple of times to get feel my way around the song. What a cracking song. A simple melody line that has a treasure trove of things going on in and around it.
Not least the samples (Where did they come from? Brilliant) Random and funny and placed perfectly within the song. "Seek out the chalky dust of the love salad/salmon?" .... Say what ?? I dunno what shrooms the man took but 10 outta 10 for the total leftfield phrases.
As I said the melody line has some great stuff going on around it from the spikey tones that agument it to the background blips and squeeks. The whole thing is very abley grounded by a superb bass line and solid drums.
The composition has been superbly thought out and executed and as always a pristine production certainly makes for some wonderful listening pleasures.
I think I'm on my 7th play as I write this so it's gonna inhabit my hard drive for a while.
I'll be spouting the phrase 'hand me the colonel' like some demeted Monty Pythonesque character every so often to liven up meetings with friends.
Get in there and get the sound going guys a very ratable listen.
