My review of Carol Sue Kirkpatrick - I Am Invisible (with Mantrasolo)
First off sorry for the delay, life has been busy over the past few weeks
Anyways lets talk about carol & better still lets talk about the track J
I got to admit I have a soft spot for carol, so I have got quite familiar with her style and sound
But I think this is the first time I have actually heard carol really rock out.
I know carol has got a few rock type ballads, but nothing with the dynamics and power of this track.
Do I think this suits carol? Hell yeah this is what I think carol is best suited to.
She always shows lots of passion in all of her music, so no change there. I just think she sounds
happier & more at home with the heavy rock riffs, basically she can ruff it up and this suits her voice. As for the writing side of things, carol writes with passion and is never scared of showing her emotions.
This track is packed with quality elements, the guitar the vocals the lyrics & the production all add up to a very good performance. The guitar work, is very nice and tastefully done, nothing to me is O.T.T. a good solid performance all round J
The track as a whole gives of quite a sexy vibe, Blondie esque and how carol says the last line “I Am Invisible” is really sexy ;)
I reckon carol really enjoyed writing and performing this track, you can tell with the performance
And I really enjoyed playing it. I bet she enjoyed the fact she got to number one on the official charts this week and very much deserved it, not just for the performance but for her dedication in supporting other artists on the site. carol must spend quite a bit of time listening to other artists music, I know she very rare misses any of my tracks and I always notice her comments on a lot of tracks I comment on.
Final verdict a good all round rock work out, with sexy vocals, monster riffage and a good read (lyrics)
