I first heard this in back in August and it received a lot of constructive comments which Mark took on board. He worked tirelessly it seems to edge towards perfection. The addition of Hans' (Drainage) drumming gives it a great 'live' feel to it. Also the introduction of Mark Alexander's backing vocals just seems to add to the professionalism.
A combination of some class acts here on MP3 unsigned has produced this track Ordinary Day.The 4 mins plus just float by as Marks growly vocals tease and entice you into the track minute by minute.I felt on occasion you seemed to hold back on the lead vocal and not have the confidence to 'let rip!!' I can speak from experience on the vocal front as I think it is all about confindence and control and there was a shaky bit at 2.13 to highlight what I mean.
Musically, this is up to Mark's usual standards and he certainly packs a lot in there. The guitar is particularly noticeable and better than Mark himself will admit to I am sure.
all in all I liked this offering from Mr Holley and co and you are to be congratualted on your perserverence in the making and revamping of this excellent track.I recommend it to anyone.Well done to all 3 of you.
I apologise for the wait Mark!
