And I'm so glad he did.

I discovered msl a while back, and like so many people on this site I was suitably inpressed, but being in a genre that alot of people share, didn't think he stood out particularly from the pack. Then more recently I revisited his page, and was blown away by his developement.

This track that has been chosen for the review is his offering for the new comp currently being run on the site. So this is his interpretation of things he loves. 'A Revering Sight' is the track.

When the peice starts through its first chord progression my first thoughts were, Oops. I thought as a love song the peice would be in a major scale, so the chord structure had a slightly ominous feel to it, But then it progressed and the piano kicks in, which is beautiful, followed by this dramatic uplfting orchestra, stunning is the best way to describe it.

The only flaw that I can pick with the peice is a small clash in the orchestration where a couple of notes dont quite fit in my mind.

This has the makings of a much, much, larger peice. It could easily continue and adapt, and keep your interest for longer.

Msl, in my opinion, has developed enormously over the past six months, his natural ear for capturing an emotion through his clever use of chord structures has given him the edge that now makes him stand apart from others in his genre. I believe that given time, msl will develope further, and boy will he be a musician to be recond with. With his natural talent for more diverse structures a key choice, he is and will be rated among the best of them.

So although I feel the track is to short, I cannot recommend it highly enough. And as he matures so will his gift. Great stuff Msl, I am totaly in awe.
