Hello again to everyone reading this.  This is my second time reviewing the 2-man band, Encryption Complex.  I first reviewed their “Four Seasons” song which ironically got the same rating as this one, which is a recommended rating from me.  I think I may have figured out their style of music, which is a lot of variation.  I may have been a bit uneasy about Four Seasons, but as I listened to it more, it grew on me and I really like it now, as I do this track.  Let me explain.

Aphro-something of the Plutonium Fudgsicle…wait that ain’t right… I mean, well you know, that weird long name that’s at the top of this review, is classified as Electronica, which is their genre and mine as well.  We have common ground here, so I feel right at home.  However, this feels more like dance music, with a bit of electronica in there.  Now let’s see, this track opens up with a variety of sound effects and even bits of melody in there all being interplayed nicely.  It really struck me odd at first, but again, listening to this many times grew on me.  It’s not long before this track gets started, which is a must for dance music and the cool melody starts to come towards us and we’re off completely.  However, I must say that this song has lots of variation, within the meat and potatoes of this song.  For some reason I can’t help but want to say that it feels like most of this track is what breaks in dance music would sound like, not saying that it’s bad.  It’s just weird how it fits in.

I’ve always and always will love their synth work and beats.  They put a lot of effort into making everything sound great and I absolutely love the filters.  I can’t really fault anything in here, except maybe a parts are a bit random, not too random, but enough to keep me interested which is a plus from me.  I don’t think it detracts from what they want to show us, but amplifies it, especially with that long name.  Also, I have to tell you about the extra silence at the end of the song.  That happened with one of my melodic ideas and never figured out why some programs do that.  It’s not really a big deal, but I feel that it needs to be noticed, just so that they can fix it.

So, this collaboration between the classical and electronic artists seemed to work out pretty nicely and gets a favorable rating from me.
