Open ft. Lonnie Gordon
Just proves that it is not about the equipment but the quality and no how to write a good song. May have been a Woolies mic but she is a great singer. You have great skills to mix and master like that...L&B;
I was very lucky! My landlord at the time happened to be Lonnie's UK tour manager at the time, and she came to stay for a while. We spent many hours unfolding the universe in the kitchen and I wrote this about those conversations, happy days! We have another track "Fly Girl", which I'm saving for later. Didn't mix in any circles, all done on extremely cheap equipment in my bedroom, the mic cost £4.99 from Woolworths! :)
ha-ha...sometimes we write for ourselves in the guise of writing for others...love Lonnies' a-a-amazing vocal tonal qualities...delicate, finely subtle, or bold...she has it all...so kudos to both of you...for working stuff through...the backing track is a well-composed/arranged platform to showcase Lonnie's incredible singing....nice little RnB groove found in here....what led to the few weeks at your place? you move in bigger musical circles, or used to? more of the tale in your biography?
Shucks, thanks for the warm welcome! Thought I'd slip by un-noticed... :)
Excellent lyric, and Lonnie has such a soulful voice. Very pleasant listen, you've got an interesting style, I hope there's more to come. Welcome to the site!
Songwriter and collaborator looking to find vocalists and artists in need of original material to make their own. I write and produce Dance, RnB, Funk and Pop at home on a budget, my demo vocals are recorded with a very cheap microphone, trying not to disturb the neighbours...!
Two songs feature 90's diva Lonnie Gordon, recorded in my bedroom on a budget!
