Walk With The Stars
How did you get started?
Well, I got started when I found out about a music composition program called Fruityloops. I started messing around with it, already being musically inclined, and realized I could make some pretty cool music with it. So I started using it more often and, well, that's how I got started with making music. Why this name? I chose my "DJ" name because I was wanting to create a name that might catch someone's interest. I was going to try to become DJ FIRESTORM, but I found out that that was already taken. So, I decided to create a simple but eye-catching name so that I could hopefully get some exposure.
Do you play live?
Well, I don't DJ live yet, mainly cause the only equipment I have is my computer. I will be getting the turntables and mixers, keyboards, and all the other equipment that most DJ's use once I save up enough.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet can help small bands, or artists get more exposure, IF they manage to find the right channels. I believe that because the music industry is always expanding and making large ammounts of money, it could help those artists and bands out there that want to try and see if people like their music before they try to go to a record label.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. Of course, I'd wanna make sure I got a decent share of the money that most artists would get. I'd also wanna make sure that my music would actually make money before I even considered signing anything.
Band History: Well, I don't have much history...yet. Hopefully if I manage to network with the right people, I can have something to actually put in here.
Your influences?
Well, Robert Miles is one. He makes a particular style that you could call "epic techno" or "epic trance". But, I'd have to say that I have yet to be able to use any influences from artists that I like yet.
Favorite spot?
Well, ever since I was a kid and visited this place for the first time, I've always loved Disney World. I know that its more aimed for children, but there's MGM studios, that's an AWESOME place to visit.
Equipment used:
Like I said earlier, I only have my computer. Well, I also have a piano keyboard, but I have yet to use it in correlation with my music. I mainly tinker with it until I hear something that clicks in my mind and transfer what I hear to my computer.
Anything else...?
I just recently got Propellerheads Reason 3.0 and my music is getting better. I'm always working on improving my hardware & software used to produce my music because I want to make the best music I can for everyone.
