Six String Junkie
Great blues track and I love that riff. Excellent playing. Would love to throw in some blues harp to this. Great work; well done.
I love that sound
That opening riff is a FANTASTIC groove...love the vocals...that first high note sliding down to the edge of growling at us...Man..I remember this being good, and once again...I hear so much growth in your approach to music....gotta take this to a live venue Mike...more fan appreciation needed :) Stellar chops! I'll try another thumbs!
Yeah! Anyone who has ever fallen in love with guitar will love this song too! Wonderful playing, great vocals, and nice bass and drums, and a great sounding recording! It's perfect! Cheers, Andrew
Brother, this still and will always hold up. It shows your love affair with your guitar. If your guitar were human, it would be one of the most satisfied secure happy appreciated humans alive. Michael Ritchie's book on how to really love. You show em how brother!
Thank you, Peo! That's probably one of, if not, the coolest compliment I have ever received in a comment! -Mike
You have set your goal as "trying to bring life back into real blues and jazz guitar". You definitely have reach your goal! This is "the real thing"! / Peo
or even Andy
Vocal sounds airy dude (a good thing) and stereo field is fine so I guess I was either deaf before or you have done a few li'l tricks!!! Mike.
You have a great sense of groove....and create such toe-tapping tunes....and above your usual guitar stylization (licks to drool over ;) is this new way of rendering your vocals... much improved vocal nuances and textures (vocal confidence?)....so glad you are putting these back up in front of us again, Mike! Well Done!
I can't believe I missed this! This is great! I love the attitude! You are really developing a personality on the vocals - very cool! I like the way you recorded the guitar on this track - everything seems so clean and clear. LOVE THE SOLO! Well, I'm glad I was able to hear this, and appreciate the download!
Dude, I told you when you ran this by me that you had something smokin' goin' on here, Way to go! Love that southern rock flavor, it sounds so effortless. I don'y know what you are feeding that monkey but keep it up!
Great idea - I'm going to work on tenaciuos sputum and for the more allergy prone - post nasal drip!! - ("No it's about the strings you weirdo!!" = I hear you say!) This would have been a great opportunity to end the song on a "kerching" and then come back with a one liner from heaven as you put the guitar back on the stand :) enjoyed this - jon
Great Song, I Love the Music. Johnny O
Hi Michael. Wanted to say a big well done to you this week on entering the chart at No.8. The things you can do with that guitar just simply blow me away. I also love your cool approach to this song. You sing it like you are the man and indeed you are!!! You would give artists like Eric Clapton a run for their money anyday! A very very cool track. PJ
Really like your playing - frankly this genre is often done over-indulgently, more emphasis on the solo and the song playing second fiddle - however you walk the tightrope well, your excellent phrasing and soloing never drowns out the song and your playing is making me quite envious...
Stereo....little variation on the drums...a few rolls....mucous free zone ...really EDGY vibe...TIGHT....ROCK ON DUDE! LOVE this remix...re-recorded. Great job at sticking with this one! The first was solid...this is so slick you need a double neck guitar to play it all at the same time! Superb! Thumbs!..if it lets me ;)
(Ver. 1) New mucus free vocal and remix where I hopefully expanded the stereo field. Mr. Oakwood please let me know and thanks for the suggestion! -Mike
This hits the spot. Superb soloing on a great song.
Man i must have been really ...ed when I left my comment last time. Well I'm not now and I gotta tell ya again how much i dig this tune! Rappid fire lead blows me away!!! I can just see you on stage with this. Head back, eyes closed killing it and the crowd!!! This is so dam good! Really enjoyed my friend. All the best to you E.

Hey Mike, the mucus mix works to my ears :) This is a really sweet track, great guitar as we have come to expect. Brilliant stuff.
Love the energy, tight as you like, brilliant.
Woo hoo! Great guitar, Mike, no complaints on this end, wish my "unstructured jams" had half that much coherence, lol. Cool tune, great title too, enjoyed my listen - keep rockin' !
Thanks to all from my heart! I appreciate each and everyone of you for taking the time! Eric, I got the idea for the song while visiting your site "Bad Love Junkie" so thanks for that! -Mike
Excellent title that´s just fits you like a glove... Apart from the great lead guitar that bass is sitting sweet. Vocal sounding great....
Good songwriting dude and pretty good on vox. Guitar as usual is tight and inventive. Nice one for that dude. As it's a wip I'll offer some advice - add a little air to your vox with some top-end treble eq - just brighten it up a tad. See if ya can widen the stereo image of the mix a bit too. Nice work fella and thumzup
Man dig that titile Some really sweet playing skillsNot straight on rock n roller here. I really dig that title! Great playing skills on displayer here!! Dam dude you can make that six string sing… Ya nice one!!! Keep on rocking Eric
That's a nasty sound comin from that geetar. Some nasty playing too. Dig the vocals and basically the whole nine yards. Thanks for the DL!

Hi Mike - lovely riffage on this beauty - like those falsetto touches on the vocal - blistering solo my good man 1.54 - 2.40 ish and on that lovely long fade out.. Keep on rockin' the funk up. Thumbs. James
Wow Mike sing it out play it out man! Lovin your approach on this cool ride. This has so many wonderful elements goin on that my head is swirling a bit. Are you singing into that sm57? Whatever, you pulled this one off and make it sound silky and effortless.
"Holy Mucous Membranes, Batman!" If this is what a little phlegm rattling sounds like, bring on a major headcold ;) Love the vocals in this one....you're putting your heart and soul into this one...and the listening audience is just along for the ride while you are having fun being a six-string junkie. Leads are rocking! Bass and drum in tight...love the falsettos!! Way to rock the airwaves with this fantastic tune! Thumbs!

As a musician I often find it difficult to market or gimmick my music in order to reach the ears of the masses. Seems shamefull to me to get somewhere musically that way and feel it detracts from what music is and should be. I shall always be greatfull to all those whom take the time to listen and comment. Thank you from my heart! -Mike
Flashflooding possible with extreme gusts of wind! Otherwise it's shaping up to be a Jazzy full blues-sky sunny rockin day!
