So What If I
Great songwriting here, reminds me of a fusion between Air and Green Day. Congratulations on the #1 spot, good job!
Hi Wait For Stars and Dan, Due to increased work load and other projects pending I am planning to take a long break but I would like to say a massive thanks for all your feedback and positive comments on all my tracks. I really appreciate it. My last upload for a while will be Twisted Love Song which will be uploaded in the next few weeks. I would also like to say that I have enjoyed your great music as well especially So What If I, When You're Not Here With Me and 1982. I hope that you enjoy my last track for a while and if you want to check out more of my past work you can find it on last.fm All the best for now. PJ
Outstanding writing and utterly brilliant. Some lovely guitar work in there and musically really well-balanced. I love your verses but (it's only my opinion) I'd have loved you to do the chorus a lot rougher vocally (rough and gruff if that makes sense)...I hope that's not insulting because it isn't meant to be...it's just, on occasion a song is so good that it has it's own identity beyond the writer or performer and your song is such a beast.
Gret tune guys reminded me of a band in late 70's the jags... for osme reason or maybe i got the name wrong anyways its a really well written, produced and perfromed piece.
love the damped picking on this tune, and reminded me of artists thati really enjoy like rick springfield and the cars, yet have still managed to hold onto a modern feel and thats a vote! ,very enjoyable.
Nicely written and played, well done and congrats on making the No1 spot! Rated.
Brilliant guitar picking, excellent production, drums sounded very real on first listen too! I would have liked the vocals to let go in the chorus, Erik would help you (!), as I think they are too restrained. Very well written tune and deserving of #1 imo.
Hey folks, a little late getting to this but really enjoyed it. tis a great song and one to be proud of, done a great job!!
well done getting to the number one great song totally enjoyed the listen brilliant
Totally enjoyable and yes pop but with a rock touch and very intune with today's scene!! I certainely could hear this in the many scenes of various TV progs as an into!!! I like the "Vampire Diaries" and I can imagine it easily in the sound track!!!! Lovin the vocals and lyrics, top job........Superb!!! Cant fail to mention those excellent guitsrs and solo's. It works it's magic when it all comes together.......!! Brilliant work and simply great songwriting!!!!! Baz
Thanks Alive, Zatrick and PJ for the congrats on the #1 spot!!! Big thanks also to all who voted and gave their support!! Much appreciated!!!!
Hey Wait for Stars - congratulations on a very well deserved number 1 - an excellent track. The lads from Alive
Hi Wait for Stars and Dan , well done on reaching the number 1 spot. It's about time you had a number 1.Well Deserved. John & Paul :-)
Hi Wait For Stars and Dan R. Congratulations this week on your very 1st Mp3unsigned No.1!!! Well deserved. PJ
Yeah good simple rock/pop, and effective guitar hook in the intro and b4 the verses. 1st line 2nd verse is a little odd in the phrasing but it's a minor crit dudes. Lead and rhythm guitars are a little messy post 2min20 point because they sound so similar and sit right on top of each other in the mix especially with the oohs coming in on vocal. Maybe overall the mix could do with a slight brightening up with a touch of treble. I think the vocal works better in the verses dude(s) and maybe ya should consider adding a touch (more?) of reverb in the chorus. All minor crits - good songwriting and thumzup ya #1 act!!
Great tune indeed! You have a very good way of reaching many genres that's for sure. This is an excellent tune coming from you as always with a great production, performance and hook. Love your stuff which has just enough of a commercial edge to be really great. You write a damn fine song that's for sure. Great job on this track and we voted because this one as always deserves it. Keep the faith!
Nice work, catchy song.Well written and performed.Production's clean too.
Thanks for the mail. " So what if I " With out dought full blown rock / pop present here. Strong hook, great production, good doubled vocal, to give that extra body. I can`t see world domination with this but never the less way better than most :0)
Great job with those guitars! Nice bit of pop, went down real easy...Vocals sound good too, and ya got some nice lines to work with, don't ya? Enjoyed my listen, keep up the good work....
hey there.. nice track here :) very crisp.. i like the vocals a lot here.. the percussion sounds nice and crisp.. nice bass and guitar action there :) great job once again!
First class yet again. I can see this topping the charts. Great vox, great music and, above all, a nice catchy tune.
Nice work!, well sung, great sound to my ears!, thumbs up from me:) best wishes, Sonya Stewart.
Great pop song.Lovin' what's going on with the guitars..Brilliant.Rated.Paul.
Nice poppy song....chorus is very catchy...so what if I!
Hey WFS,you have a nice tone in this nice tune guy. Love the guitar plucking. You vocal delivery is really present and sounds thick. The song has a good pace as well and could easily be a hit. Who knows.. it could happen. If it were up to me, it would.
great song and great interplay of electric guitars and drum and bass backbone and btw great photo too
nice musical set up for the verses so it releases into the chorus. that arrangement works cool especially for the lead break. yup, nice tight pop song with audience appeal.
Classy pop as ever. Great arrangement and overall feel. This should be on the radio.. there's an audience out there for well crafted music.
Thanks for the great song, man it so catchy I just want to grab it and stuff as much of it as I can into my ears. Thanks for the DL also... Vin
Love the dampened crunch of the guit then the strums and rhythms kicking in. Great hook! "So What If..."sums up a lot that everyone can relate to...Nice feel to the rhythms the sustained distortion guitar carries a lot of edge to the track and pushes it nicely...the lead riff...good job..melodic touch. Enjoyed the listen! All the best for 2012, Thumbs!
You always write great catchy songs and this is another little gem. Backing is spot on with great vocal delivery. Good to be back listening to you again. Easy rate....
Quality track. Always spot on production, clean sound that highlights all your stuff and just a great listen...
I get that Cars vibe too, Nice song and well put together.
Perfect Pop music, has a "summery" feel, with the palm muted guitar throughout. Nice production, great vocals, this is a really good song!
Very Nice opening , Nice clear Vocals Great Catchy Pop Song and The Production Sound Cool Too. Lovin it Gets My Thumbs !!!!!
very nice work my friend, love the guitar work!!! & the vocals are great to :)
Happy new year Wait for Stars - its always a pleasure to hear a new track from you. Nice guitar riff starts the track off - excellent verses and chorus - you have a gift for melody and this has that infectious quality all your work has - it sticks in your head - the amount of times in the past i have caught myself singing "1982" "goodbye" "washed away" and the superb "when you're not here with me". Love your vocal style - harmonies are always nice and tight. Cool guitar solo too. Rated. James
Hi Wait For Stars, Every song that you upload onto this site grabs me instantly with it's cool melody and catchy chorus but this time you have also provided a verse that is just as great. I loved When You're Not Here With Me and you have followed it up fantastically well. Even better in my opinion you've raised the bar. Another wonderful track and it deserves to be No.1 on this site. As you know I am a massive of your music and I just wish that there was a way that I could give you more than 1 vote. You're fantastic. Enjoyed. PJ
Clean songwriting and production. Remeniscent of "The Cars" but in no way sounds like them (if that makes any sense)? No doubt there was an effort and much attention spent on detail which is obvious to the listening ear. Glad I got chance to hear this one!
Cool track, I like the guitar picking at the intro, gives it an urgency. The overall melodies, vocally and instrumentally are pretty catchy. Yeah, it's a good foot tapping head nodding song. Lyrics are cool too. Thx for letting me in on your new works.
