A cripple lily wilts in the afternoon sun, and opens in the evening... its blue petals. the band is called "The Cripple Lilies". we play acoustic guitars, mandolins, pianos, organs, moogs, sythesizers, drums of various sizes and hues. Intially we started in the winter of 2004, and wrote enough material together to start recording a new studio album, which will be different from the previous CB Radio project. The cripple lilies plan to tour with breaks occasionally to mend clothing, feed cats, and cook dinner for our mothers. The intricate sounds of harmony meet their match with Chad Bishop who modernizes the singer-songwriter forum and takes the indie scene by storm. From his humble beginnings in Pensacola, Florida sharing the stage with small folk-punk bands to major tours across Europe and large horn ensembles, Chad Bishop is spreading a little piece of Americana with his innovative songwriting, skillful musicianship and smooth delivery of a song-style craft not long forgotten. Drawing inspiration from many genres including folk, indie rock, bossa nova and jazz, this singer-songwriter credits several albums to his catalogue, including two with Flat Broke Folk, his latest solo creation, Isabella V, and a world of new material continually exposed to eager listeners. Bishop is leading the independent musician’s fight on his own terms to create a smart style of lush, melodic music that emphasizes the beauty of harmonies through instrumental and vocal presentations that are nothing less than a stunning and memorable performance. Accompanied by energetic pianist, flute piano and vocalist Elizabeth Lopiccolo. Bishop is gearing up for a relentless 2005 promotional tour in support of Isabella V that will cover the eastern and southern United States from Florida to Nashville, New Orleans to Houston. Look for Chad to continue his rigid tour schedule through the fall to greet his Midwest and West Coast fans.
