Ooooo sweet.Lovely flow to this guys. Smooth as silk. Out of my comfort zone here so I cant give any crits. All I know that it's very easy on the ears and I like it. Vocals are uber cool as is the rest of the track. Easy rate. Barry
Return visit for me as well lol, as good as I remembered, love the chorus, mix sounds better now as well, thought it was a bit muddy before, now it isn't lol, so no reason not to love it totally now :)
Hee hee I hear the squeaky pedal too but it's absolutely no problem dude. Back for another listen dude and still sounding good
Still sounding good people, vocals are sounding strong as ever and very catchy, backing vocals sound 'cool as' too, remember this from last time and still sounding Gooood!!! excllent collab guys :)
If my ear don't fail me I hear a bass drum pedal with lack of oil. well anuway you have a great voice and a great band. my rate.
Sweet song guys! Love the voclas duelling back and forth! Wicked vocal breakdown! Production is great! Such a catchy chorus melody! Reminds of Steve miller Band! Easy charter here! R8!
Great song, makes me think of all day drinkin in the summer.
Rated within about 4 seconds dead and no regrets dude. Really cool bit o funk with some great old skool brasswork going on. I think the muddiness (comments below) is prob a low sounding tuba type sound which sounds fine to me thru me mackies
Awesome track, one of the best i have heard on here, ever. The chorus takes it to another level. I'd love to do a collab sometime. I'll pm you when i have some music ready. Can't get enough of that chorus. Rated!!!!
Congrats in the charts! Sorry I missed this earlier. What a great tune! I can see (or should I say hear) what drew you in to working with it. Awesome sound start to finish! :)
Yes this is great, everything about this works, good song, rythm, melody, vox and instrumentation.. I can't fault it and think it is a fab offering..very well done to all involved!!!!
Nice laid back song.......Yes I can imagine this as a backtrack in a tv show with a group of happy friends on an evening out......very New York I'd say. Kevin Mooney
Really great vocal, really cool summer vibe, very commercial as well. Mix is a bit muddy but can't blame you for that lol, can only tell you the song is mint :)
Can't beat a good old bit of RnB/funk -love it. Great horns and great vox.
excellent vox on this and great back vox layering as well - cool groove - nicely done:)thumbs up
this is mint work! sounds as crisp as can be. top production funk. i tip my hat to you's both. time to push some buttons, great work!
It was definitely worth the wait to hear this! Excellent lyrics, vox, arrangement. This has really got something. Hope we'll hear more collabs from you two - works well together. Rated :) xJ
funky dunky, yeah, really cool baseline and sound, maybe vocal sounds a bit to digitalised, but melody of lead and backing vocals are great. hornsections are top notch, cool tune guys, quality collab
Really excellent track indeed Larry, and everything you have packed in here works.Brilliant.rated Andy :)
Funky stuff...do you know you invented a word? Conversate. Why not indeed! Enjoyed and particular liked brass and harmonies.
oooh tasty stuff here LL! Cool beat and i like the guitar work. Ahh now this is a classy track, deffs reminds me of crusin in the car and a cool summer track like this playing, cant help but feel good listening to it! Silky vox as always, Cool little break with the claps. Make me think of the tv show Entourage for some reason? lol I cant help but agree with Jez tho on the mix side of things, its really a great track and a good fine tooth comb of a mix would really set this track on fire! Thats my only crit, other than that, love it bud!!! Best of luck with it! Marty
gotta love this one, its grand
BRILLIANT! cover this comment box with superlatives and they will still not be enough.
There's a bit of 'mud' in the mix. Something need to come out of the low-end, its sounds like its overdriven. Your vocals are smooth and perfectly performed as always, but some of the transitions in the song could a bit smoother. With some work on the mix and arrangement this could be a really excellent track, it has lots of potential.
Very funky indeed. Love the backing, the brass and the hand clapping :-) Great vibe to this. Good stuff! Martin
i love your singing stylings. take a nom my brother
Excellent funk my friends. Wicked performance. One of the best I've heard, very smooth. Only recomendation is that the original recordind is too loud for this site. Not your fault though as compressing to mp3 alters various things. An uncontrollable factor. Never the less an extemelly enjoyable listening experience. Rated. Barry
Great collab guy's vocals are spot on and agree with Mick so are the backing vocals, funky sounds/beats, loving the brass, brilliant well done :)
JEEEEZZZ Larry.....this is fkn AWESOME...it just blew me apart on the very 1st bar!!! God i hear sooo many different influences from my own past in this....love it. Crackin middle to it....backing vox are just majik too. Rated...nom` too for that matter...brill.

I once heard that the worst thing you can tell and A&R rep is that you are the "V Word" or in other words Versatile. They claimed you should find your niche and stick with it. Unfortunately, I fall into that category because I write and sing on many different styles of songs. I can't help it. Maybe that means I don't have a shot. What's the difference really? Music to me is about expressing what's inside your soul regardless of genre in hopes that you connect with the listener. So on that note, I sing and write Rock, RnB, Rap, Acoustic, and whatever songs I feel in my soul. I hate it when I hear musicians say, "This is all I'm good at" or "This is all I know how to do". I never agree because you could easily flip burgers if you choose to. It's just the cool thing to say to make people think you are so dedicated to your craft. But maybe I'm just envious because I wish this is all I could do. So anyhow, take a listen and hopefully you connect with something that I connect with. Thanks for stopping by and the following is a brief history of a no-name in Rockford telling my stories:...

LARRY LANE and their funk infused rock/pop endeavor has landed them a BEST NEW ROCK RAMI NOMINATION for 2005. Vote for them at www.ramiawards.com PEACE!
Larry Lane is a name I'd seen crop up a few times in the Official Chart, but up until this review, much to my shame, I hadn't checked them out. In fact, such was my ignorance, I never realised Larry Lane were a band named after a neighbourhood rat. Truth be told, I thought it was, well, a bloke called Larry. Anyway, the band don't waste any time trying to hide their influences. Two li
You can see the infl;uences of this track shine right through from the neggining, which is no bad thing. The tracks has a lush feel to it with a nice melody which holds you interest and got my feet a'tappin#:)The vocals are well delivered with a distinct sound that weave well with the music. The recording quality is a great and it comes across as a commercial track which you could well see being p
So Many Things - Larry Lane reviewed by DJ DAH Where do I start? Toward the end of the track I was starting to move my body this track oozes style and I can imagine this playing in a bar or something of that nature, where everybody starts tapping their feet and all the girls shaking Ass. Me being a trancy-dancy dude I actually like this track. I can tell it is soulfull. definatley a thu
firstly the lyrics are hysterical and are well worth the listen in itself. particualarly i found the little panned left comments that come in and out which have the feel that its an audience member reacting to this white guy talking crazy talk. i laughed and smiled throughout the tune. im not a huge fan of the melody. but im a huge fan of the structure. the musicmanship is second to n
Third time around for MP3 Unsigned's Larry Lane, and I think he hopes he will fare better this time. Well, I hope so too. This is not to say that the two tracks I have reviewed of his aren't any good - just maybe not my style. I must say though that Broke and Lonely (December 2006) was much more my kind of stuff, it being pretty much a standard blues track and I do have a very so
Let me just say again that Mp3 is full of interesting and very capable artists, and the Reviews that I am doing is just my perspective. There is alot of genres that i know little about, and would never presume to be an authority on. So this is just how I see them So first off with this review, Larry Lane has listed himself as a band but it would seem reading that the band is Steve Lindsay, wh
Although I didn't quite get on with Larry Lane's last track Amnesia (November 2006) there was more than enough going with the track to want me to delve further into this MP3 Unsigned rock artist. Where it scored with me was in production values and performance capabilities because - if I were honest - the song didn't really do a lot for me. Still that's often the way with rock music, s
Larry Lane, although sounding like a character tailor made for Superman, is in fact a band who make - and I quote - 'naughty pimp rock to shake that ass' Yeah, oooerr missis indeed. Still anything that features the word rock is usually fine by me, there isn't much in the genre that really gets on me tits. I'm not sure though that band fits Larry Lane because the bio on the pages talks
Musical/track structure The structure of this track is standard industry structure, bar the ending where there is a play on the opening of the track; this is useful for a “mid-album” style track. The structure of this track has little diversity off normal style pop/indie/commercial rock. I don’t find structure being a strong point of this track, but without its due course the track wouldn’t be abl
Larry Lane – Amnesia O.k, so I am rather blown away by this track – It is superb!! I can’t find one fault!! I don’t really know a lot about Larry Lane, but I have a feeling I will do from now on. This track makes me want to be at Glastonbury, rolling around in the grass, taking in the sunshine and Pear Cider…and wailing along to “Amnesia”. I really could see your sound attracting
First go at a review for a while, but here goes, good luck to us all :o) Larry Lane? Who is this mysterious figure? Is he a soul singer, a pop singer, a rock singer! Well none and all, as 'he' is actually the neighbourhood rat! Now the background of this group, I know not much of, I know Steve is the vocalist (well I think he is, but from now on he IS Steve ;o)), and as fo
First thing i'm wondering is what's 'naughty pimp rock'? Lets find out...
Doesn't take long to realise - pimping bass, naughty rythmn, beats and rocking lead riffs! Not to mention the combination of all three in the vocals.
Larry Lane - FALL BACK Well, well, another cellar-dweller, although this band produces far sunnier work than I could ever do, locked away in isolation without any natural light to speak of. But don't, for one second, feel sorry for me. On with the review. Funk, rock and even elements of soul collide here to produce a fully cohesive song, presented in a clean style that rocks along just nicely.
The opening sequence has a terrific guitar riff which teases the listener with a smattering of drum rolls and then a high hat is introduced that slips us into the great 'dance beat'. The vocals come into the frame at this point and.....WOW! what a professional sound ths talented group have and they must sound awesome 'live'. The second phase settles us down into a cool continuous beat and the fee
