The Beginning...

In 2003, Andy Clarke (guitar, backing vocals) and Rich Austerberry (lead vocals, piano) moved to Newcastle Uni. A year later, material gathered and Entanglement started to take some form. But without drums and bass the band couldn't progress, and it was when Matt Pilling (drums, percussion) and Euan Simpson (bass) joined later in 2004, that things really started to take shape.
"Four classically trained musicians have branched out to create an original, yet commercial brand of music."

Steve Howard (Pulp Magazine) has described Entanglements gigs as compiling "soaring, epic songs full of arresting melodies."

All the band are classically trained musicians. This is massively influential on both their music and their peformance.
