I build my music based upon the How. Great music is about HOW you see the music, HOW it is perceived and HOW it will stand the test of time. Equally if you follow, then everything you do has already been done. |
Studio 45's head head producer and co-owner Jason 'Blinks' Hardy is a gifted and incredibly innovative producer and remixer, who has been making music within the industry for over 22 years, bringing his skills and strengths towards:
An ambassador of music throughout his 20 years within the musical business, Jason has been making his living working from Oxford, England as an extremely experienced, professional and respected DJ, Music Producer, Sound Engineer and Music Tutor.

RHYTHM AND BOOZE REVIEW
Sun Is Gonna Shine takes the opening tracks heartache and offers up salvation in the shape of an upbeat infectious jazzy number that speaks of triumph over tragedy, whilst the instrumentation creates a bouncy, contagious summery groove that's just perfect for those hot sweaty R&B club dancefloors. BASIC SOUL REVIEW
Days Ahead’ is a solid R&B/soul set which showcases Tersessa’s sweet honey voice perfectly. She particularly shines on the nu-soul orientated tracks ‘No More’ and the title track, a simple but effective mellow groove with warm key chords. MORE.... |

DJ MAGAZINE REVIEW
Dubplate: Supreme most infectious choon. Awe inspiring confusing galaxy of break chopping with firework whoosh, as in the background is soon joined in by Eak A Mouse "Wah Do Dem" vocal snatches then suddenly, as the bass kicks in it signals the start of the most serious bout of trainspotters flu you could ever imagine. Blinks and MSD are seriously taking the .... out of us old school hedz with this one as snatches of old schook riffs, bassiness and samples rush in and out before you can fully put your finger on them, Look, theres the bassline from "Scottie", then a riff from Ratpack, then Photek, then a Reggae Riff, its all chopped up so well you will forget yourself, dancing furiously as you go down a supercharged memory lane. Vicious - DJ Magazine. The Hard Charts - Wots My Code Dubplate makes No 18 in the charts. |
JOCKEY SLUT REVIEW
Dubplate: The retro vibe taken back a couple more years than is in the fashuon for some proper old schoool rave action. Dubplate is all ragga samples in the 92 stylee over righteous dubbass and heads down braks. Massive then and massive now, Breakfast Club continues the theme for a track that would sit happily alongside any of the production house releases from which it draws inspiration. CB - Jockey Slut |
DJ SS REVIEW
Dubplate: This has got to be the most wanted track around, in one word "ruff". Rolling four track EP with all four tracks slammin, with Jason Hardy & Danny Whittaker in the hot seat twisting up the original beats and the darkest b-line this side of the universe. Full of live with some nice soulful strings and a catchy vocal "a wha do dem". Tune of the week for me, brilliant arrangement and production. This is simply another tale from the darkside. DJ SS

Touch Magazine: Back to the old school here. Wots My Code remixed by Total Science holds true to the original in every way. With a touch more pace, this 1992 anthem shouldnt be missed. Touch Magazine |
Whats My Code EP: The Dubplate/The Most High/Bachelor Rock/Oxford White. Usually starts with the selector or MC easing in before jungle beats batter down the doors and a swarm of angry noise joins in. Last track has an unexpected cool organ. CK - Echoe |
Wots My code Dubplate makes No 9 in the charts. Tekno Prisoners |
