A power punk trio from the midwest that have been hangin and bangin for 10 years. You want it? They'll give it to you hard, fast and experienced.
Ten years and ten releases later Mulligan Stu have secured their place in the history of punk rock. While most pop/punk bands have gone the way of the
Do-Do, Mulligan Stu evolved to allow themselves to have a longevity that is rare in even the most recognized bands of their genre. With hook-soaked guitars, melodic vocals and clever lyrics Mulligan Stu have stayed true to the time honored tradition of punk rock that was developed by the Ramones, delivered with the pop sensibilities of Elvis Costello.
It has been more than six years since their last full length release Do the Kids Wanna Rock? on Rhetoric Records. Now they bring you their next installment, Rock & Roll Band available from 4 on the Floor Records. Once again Mulligan Stu produced ten more sing-along rock anthems about love, lust and growing up that have kept audiences captivated for over a decade. With the incredible drumming of Paul Kennedy, the intricate bass-lines of Mike Melanus and the intense guitar playing and vocals of Kevin Mulligan, Mulligan Stu’s new release Rock & Roll Band can be listened to time and again, with something new always to be discovered.
Mulligan Stu have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many great artists over the years, including Blink 182, The Queers, The Vandals, SNFU, Mr. T Experience, The Donna’s, Teen Idols and many, many more. They have traveled from Coast to Coast spreading their blend of mid-west pop/punk to the masses.
Avid punk fans and pop enthusiasts alike will enjoy the infectious hooks that have become synonymous with the name Mulligan Stu. The “Stu” have acquired acclaim from all over the world. Aston of the European magazine Boss Tuneage has stated, “…you will certainly wanna rock with Mulligan Stu!” Rock Power magazine had this to say: “Two words describe this Rock n’ Roll outfit…All Stars.” This growing international support will assure the success of Rock & Roll Band, and point to Mulligan Stu’s continued popularity, both here and abroad.
