Under Darkest Skies is a band that creates music based upon passion and emotion, or the lack there of...Under Darkest Skies blends together a mixture of psychedelic rock, doom/goth, atmospheric/symphonic death and black metal to for music that is very different and outlandish....The lyrical content contains abstract dark imagery forged together with short story telling with subjects of: Lost faith, fantasy and desire, personal woe and tragedy, and death...Under Darkest Skies is influenced by a wide spectrum of music. From the Doors and Pink Floyd to Opeth, My Dying Bride, Amorphis, Anathema, and Emperor...Under Darkest Skies has released one single so far to numerous radio stations and Mp3 sites as a way to test the waters to their experimental song "Wake Me For My Eulogy" which differs from UDS's other cataloged material. UDS has planned for a spring 2005 release of their first full length album which will contain 8 tracks and "Wake Me For My Eulogy" as a bonus track total running time will be around 70mins

in the month of July "Wake Me For My Eulogy" was the #1 requested song for 3 full weeks and #2 for 1 week on www.metalmusic.net (Miami) in the month of August it drew over 160 listener requests and sat on the #3 spot the whole month behing only Finland's Nightwish. "Wake Me For My Eulogy" can also be heard on these radio stations: www.radiotakeover.com (New Jersey), www.thedarkesthours.com (Canada), www.livehardrock.com (Dj's are from worldwide), www.lazer103.com (Milwaukee), It has also received airplay on Nocturn Metal Show in Romainia, and there are many more to come...UDS will be releasing 3 more singles before the release of the full length album scheduled for spring 2005. |
