I've played in a lot of bands in the past 20 years, but right now I'm in a death metal band called BLOODLUST. One day I'll buy some extra space on here and put some of that on here. Until then, I'll describe my writing of "band songs" as being along the lines of MALEVOLENT CREATION and DEATH. As for the instrumental stuff I've posted, it's just me, my guitars and a drum machine. I record at home on 3 Roland rackmount 8 tracks with a Behringer MX9000 24 channel board. All of my guitars are either Jacksons or Charvels, but I wouldn't mind adding a BC Rich or two. I'm 32 years old and I live in Indianapolis USA. Like William Hung , "I haf no formal twaining." I had a few lessons when I was a kid, but only on the first 3 strings.

For the past 17 years of the 20 I've been playing, I've been heavily influenced by Andy LaRocque (King Diamond, Death, Illwill). The picture above was taken right before my wedding. I got married on Halloween 2003 dressed as King Diamond. If you're familiar with the King Diamond stories, you can understand why my best man dressed grandma. My wife went as Angel from the House Of God CD. The day after we got married, we saw King Diamond in Columbus. Hal Patino, the guitar tech and Jodie, the girl who acts out the parts of Grandma, Miriam, Angel, Victoria etc, recognized us from show earlier that year. We saw the show again on our honeymoon a few weeks later in Florida. Again, Hal recognized us and asked "What the hell are you guys doing here?" When we told him we were on our honeymoon, he put us on the guest list. Then we saw the guitar tech and he told me James Murphy was across the street. I had given James an Ibanez a couple of years earlier, so I was anxious to talk to him. As we were talking, Andy laRocque came up and asked james how he was feeling. I couldn't believe I was standing next to both of my all time favorite guitarists at the same time. James introduced me to Andy as his friend who gave him a guitar when he was sick. I was in awe. James' brother took a picture of the 4 of us. That was best honeymoon I could have ever asked for. |
