The Colonial Movement Company (CMC) is a UK indie guitar band comprising of Jon Boswell (vocals/guitar), Ben Ashton (guitar) Andy Fairnington (bass) Ian Corcoran (Keys) and Rick McLoughlin (drums). The five members of CMC grew up in Warrington and first began playing music together in early 2004.
The Colonial Movement Company EP ‘' Good Advice & Sleepless Nights'' in 2005. The EP's lead track " Constance " has introduced CMC's keyboard-driven sound as well as a fantastic knack for big swooping choruses. It has also taken a fresh approach to the ‘'band wagon'' mentality of the music business. The warm reception received by their debut EP so far will undoubtedly lead to interesting things for CMC in 2006...
