Chunky's given name is Shanon Nelms he was born on Born: 1/30/74 in Andrews, TX. You can read a full bio at www.chunkynelms.com Chunky's brand of music is classic country at it's roots. Early influences were George Jones, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson to name just a few. A little later on George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, Alan Jackson, and groups like Dimond Rio were favorites as well. The main influence in Chunky's song writing are his faith in the lord Jesus, his love of family and life experience along with his musical background that make his music a blend of true country sound that delivers a positive message.
