Leah McHenry has been writing music since she was 13. Since then, she has composed many songs on piano and guitar and has gained experience in different types of music from church choirs to full on heavy metal bands. Her passion to communicate emotion in all types of music comes through in the various styles you will hear. Leah has been the lead singer of Ashur since 2003 and is currently working on new material to be released in early 2006.

I try not to let too much influence cloud my head... I always try to reach within myself for an organic and original creation. But if I had to consider who has made an impact on me musically, I would say artists such as Loreena McKennitt to heavy metal bands Gardenian, After Forever, Lacuna Coil and Evergrey.
