The band consists of 4 seasoned musicians from Leicester. They met about 1 year ago after being in individual projects, which eventually brought them to form Tokyo. They are all in their mid 20s with influences including everything from Bon Jovi to Stevie Wonder, which becomes clear when listening to their songs. A mix between rock and funk is the main aim when writing music. But with the lead vocalist have previously been signed with Plugged Publishing in Sweden as a songwriter, the little extra needed to reach the mainstream has been added. Having spent the best part of the year writing enough material to fill two full-length albums, the aim is to cautiously enter the UK music scene with as few mistakes as possible. Already they have a fast growing fan base having only performed on stage for only a short while. Their aim is to reach as many people as possible with their music, initially managing themselves and when things get to tight allow for management to take over. As for the moment, the most important objective on their agenda is to play as many venues as possible and show their faces to as many people as possible. Tokyo is a band with a bright future and a confidence, which can be felt when on stage.
