Say the words "Honey Brown", and other words like sweet, smooth, rich, seductive, and natural come to mind. These words are also used to describe Honey Brown's soulful, vocal and creative lyrical style. Honey Brown embodies the heart and soul of all her inspirations, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Phillis Hyman ,Patti labelle, Mary J. Blige, Babyface, and acclaimed song writer Diane Warren, just to name a few.
Spending most of her time in the studio honing and perfecting her skills as a writer, producer, and vocalist; Honey Brown has been blessed to work with several acclaimed producers of some of today's top artists, including Whitney Houston, Nelly, Faith Evans, Usher, SWV, Destiny's Child, and more. An impressive performer, Honey made her mark on stage as a featured artist on the 2003 ASCAP/Smirnoff Urban Education Tour and the BET/Pantene Pro-v Total You Tour. She also was recently featured in the new artist spotlight on the Bobby jones gospel countdown. In addition to being featured on this summer's Urban Education Tour, Honey Brown has headlined at several of Atlanta's hottest venues including The Velvet Room, The Visions Night Club, the Rialto Center for the Performing Arts and The Georgia World Congress Center.
Honey Brown's debut album is sure to take listeners through a myriad of experiences that someone from almost every age group, background, and demographic can relate to. "Music is supposed to heal, inspire, set the mood as well make you bob yo' head and move yo' feet," she points out. " my debut album will definitely consist of songs that everyone could relate to and appreciate no matter who you are or where your from." Honey is set to take her place among those talented songbirds whose songs touched the heart and soul of every listener. Writing most of her own her songs has been a definite impact on Honey Brown's music. "I write what I've experienced," she says. "I don't mind collaborating, but it's just more natural for me to write and write from the heart. It just flows. My music is just an extension of who I am." Make way for the definition of New Urban Soul.
