The BurnDown All-Stars are a Philadelphia based live hip-hop collective featuring the city's finest unsigned musicians and emcees. Beginning in early 2003 with the the release of BurnDown Studios seminal CD, "BurnDown Presents... Volume I, The Outside Connect Jawn," the All-Stars have slowly been taking form. Drawing from the rich and diverse talent pool featured on BurnDown recordings, the band eventually cemented a strong core line-up. With an ever-expanding repertoire of songs from "Volume I" and the soon to be released "Volume II," the group's performances have matured into a undeniable mix of musicianship, showmanship, and lyrical virtuosity.

In August of 2002, BurnDown founders Dave Quicks, RokBottm and AJ Niedosik hosted a series of recording parties in a warehouse five minutes from center city Philadelphia. Attracting members of Princes of Babylon, The Ally, K-Floor, Fathead, Electric City, Blue Method, Mutlu, Subtle Ground, Saigon Slim, The Mia Johnson Band and more, the parties were an unexpected and happy success. The only rule of the sessions: you must play with musicians from other bands. Drawing from the hours of improvised music, the producers at BurnDown began shaping the material that would eventually become the foundation of "The Outside Connect Jawn," the first BurnDown release. Based on this root concept, the project continued to expand and grow, including an ever-increasing talent pool. As the material piled up, BurnDown realized that this was music people needed to hear. The fresh approach to recording and the attitude of "music for music's sake" fostered an environment were great artists could really shine. In the summer of 2003, a sampler featuring selected tracks from upcoming BurnDown albums was released. Currently producer Dave Quicks is finishing the final touches on the sophomore BurnDown All-Stars release.
