The Final Stage story begins in late 2003 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, with 4 musicians coming together for a common cause: their love of Heavy Metal. Guitarist / lead vocalist Brandon Wright and Guitarist Craig McNorton had played in a previous band called Ignite. When that fell appart they decided to try and find a new rhythm section.
After 3 months of searching for a new bass player and drummer, Brandon was searching the Betrayer message board and came across a post for a bass player who wanted to join a metal band. They got in touch and Josh Kurkjian became the bass player. His low end fingering prowess brought the band to the next level.
Craig had a friend he knew named Gabriel Bellair who played drums. He became the fourth member. After 3 months of practicing Gabriel could no longer make the 30+ minute drive out to Tecumseh to rehe.... and they were once again on hiatus.
About 3 weeks later Abby Gagnon and Brandon met by chance when he overheard someone talking about Kiss. They got to talking and Abby mentioned to Brandon she was a drummer. To commemorate the new beginning with Abby the band renamed themselves Final Stage.
After 4 months of rehearsals Final Stage took to the streets. To ready themselves they recorded a cover of Metallica's Enter Sandman. Soon after they played a show at Woody's Outhouse in downtown Windsor. Recently, FS played alongside 4 other bands, including Betrayer, at an event called Dean Stock in Harrow.
