One of pour heaviest at the moment ore heavier to come. Lots of growls, fluid guitars and great grooves. One for any metal lover, lead riffs, melodic and growling vocals.

Chemical sun have been together for a couple of years (3 I think) & originally have always been a 3 piece band for the majority of time. The band used to practice in garages and homes until URBAN SOUND rehearsal rooms opened up. Chemical sun brought only three songs with them to the rehearsal rooms, MACHINATED, LET GO & ONE LAST KISS, all of which have dramatically changed o have been totally abandoned (manchinated). After the first rehearsals started in URBAN SOUND new noises and sounds were created after much more practice and improvement within the boys, one such new noise was FORGET I'M THERE. Chemical sun banged out loads more songs in the next months but after some consideration they decided to chill out and work on quality not quantity. So the band changed mainly all the riffs and structures to create a new depth into the songs but still all with little lyrics. Within the band KARNAGE wrote all the lyrics and tried a lot out on the songs, but that never really was one of his strong points at first, and the band started to forget about lyrics. So when they didn't create lyrics they work 110% on the music of the song taking old riffs and placing them in different environments. After chemical sun became a lot tighter and broader they searched for a singer, quite a few people tied out but everyone seems to get the wrong idea when they wrote a poster saying "MELODIC SINGING" the poster actually read "GUT WRENCHING VOCALS BUT STILL HAS MELODIC SINGING" naming a couple of singers who tried for chemical sun were ANDRE FAIRWEATHER (ACRID FEAR) & MATTHEW STRUGESS but due to issues concerned with communication both singers came and went! (André left us lol, Matt never came lol). After all the efforts KARNAGE took the mic once more and they plodded on without any singer, until one song writer came along KARL LITTLER, Karl seemed to blend quite easily and all the bend felt having a friend in the band would be ever better, but after a few issues arose the band let him go (no hard feelings). but all was not lost as Karl joined the band GARY CROSS left a local band (toxic lemon) and asked chemical sun if he could jump on. Karl and Gary seemed to click and the band thought they had a new edge but as I stated before the band let Karl go. This is when the band started to take off the sound was right the vocals were amazing and more edge was added to all the songs. This is how the band is now GARY, CHRIS, KARNAGE, SCOTT set to gig and loaded with songs! At this moment in time chemical sun are recording there own independent demo (TBC) which they are recording on there own. As the recording started new riffs started to fly about and chemical sun are now heading higher up and getting the musical sound they adore and wanted to play the moment they started to learn there instruments!.

Just a note to say THANKS TO URBAN SOUND for weeks on end of practicing there we enjoyed every practice. But now we have moved to TOP SPOT in HINDLEY to practice. Thanks again to ALEX and STU!

Chemical sun as from OCT 2004 are now a Five-piece from PHIL LYMER who is now in THE SUN!!
