The Point a four-member self contained R&B; band hailing from High Point, NC is about to put it down for a generation that is as far removed from live bands as baby boomers are from hip-hop.
The Point is redefining R&B; music synergizing it with hip-hop flavor that has left them compared to such legendary acts as Earth Wind and Fire and Ohio Players. Eric, Jerry, Harvey, and Ron each are individually talented but together they form the quintessential R&B; band of the 21st Century.

Rocking button ups and baggy jeans, The Point is an awe-inspiring literal representation of the past present and future of R&B; music. Their method of slow immersion, well contrived lyrics and blazing production keeps their audience hooked, from the first bass lick to the last drum kick The Point has become urban music’s missing link.
The Point is emerging from their church background with a sound powerful enough propel them to the top. Performing with numerous gospel groups in High Point, NC, The Point has over a 10 year working relationship with American Idol, Fantasia Barrino. The Point was invited to accompany Nelly and The St. Lunatics with such live appearances as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight show with Jay Leno, MadTV and The Late Show with David Letterman. In addition to performance credits, The Point has also produced tracks with Mike City, Baby Face, Will Smith and Eddie F - just to name a few.
The music they create can be as powerful as spoken word poetry, as youthful as they are hypnotic, as soulful as the classic songs they heard growing up, and as sincerely true to life as everyday living.
