ROOM 1202 is a five piece band from the high desert of California. In 1997, Omar Quinones formed ROOM 1202 with long time friend John Beare. As a two piece, ROOM 1202 played various bars, clubs, and just about any place that would have them. In 2000, ROOM 1202 recorded their debut album "Afterimage" and gained moderate success, along with a loyal following. As time passed, Anthony Trujillo was brought in as a secondary keyboardist to enhance the stage presence of the band. 2001 saw a flourish of internet activity for the band, as they became one of the top downloaded electronic acts of the area. 2002 embarked the band in a completly different direction with the ambient electro album "exit music for the lost and found" and later in 2003 with "inside out". In late 2004, the band decided to add additional members to take the band to a new level. Aaron Messmer started playing drums, along with Robert Modica added to take over guitar and bass. Michael Buchanan was added to solidify, and balance the band on keyboards. ROOM 1202 has shared the stage with bands like Hate Dept, Proteus, Veer Chasm, Heavens Burning, Red Flag, Cause and Effect, and Orgy. The band is currently working on a new album titled "Movement" and has hopes for release in fall of 2005. Be sure to check www.room1202.com for more information.
