Silvano grew up in the culturally-rich Philadelphia and shares a life of music with the celebrated saxophonist and Cleveland native Joe Lovano, whom she met at jam sessions in New York City in the early 1980’s. Together they founded JSL Records and have released many jazz and creative music CD’s and DVD’s plus music for healing meditation.
